Are you plan add crystal planets like in TA ? This planets could have different colours, and be rich of metal, but low on energy. Will you add these in game ?

I think Lava planets fill this gap well, we also have floating metal space stations.

More planet types is something I expect we'll get to post release. Mods can add new types too...

The more biomes created / modded in the better! I always thought the crystal maps in TA added some neat color and a different feel for the battlefield, even IF they were simply decorated purple terrain.

It doesn't have to have any functional differences from a regular planet /biome type, just new textures and brushes!

Crystal or partially crustalized planet is something that would add a lot of "atmosphere" to the game imo.

How great would it be if you just stumbled upon a weird planet in Galaxy conquest (made from an extra "mystery" type Uber threw in secretly just for the heck of it) and you wouldn't know what to make of it or if the planet is even safe to land on?

Just so you know, more planet types (and of course unit types) would be something I would definitely pay for in future DLC.

Mabey crystal biomes could be unique by having no metal deposits, no reclamable metal but have an absolute abundance of energy deposits and reclamable energy crystals?

Why? He just said it could be modded in... You'd rather pay for content that's probably going to be available free?

I'd pay for it if it was done to a higher quality (both aesthetically and gameplay) than what the community could do.

I've seen plenty of brilliant things modding communities can scrap together.

Then again, I have also seen Uber's PA KickStarter video.

    DLC Biome pack?

Could be cool, and would be easy on the multiplayer due to the whole random generation thing.

But why, DLC is exactly what is killing the game industry. Paying for content that can easily be done in game and affects gameplay. Supporting DLC is supporting the plague.

Downloadable content.....like buying game off of steam?

The problem isn't DLC, it's bad DLC.

If DLC was handled more like a game expansion then buying hats then people would have a diffrent opinion of it.

And frankly content isn't free, so we can't expect to get things for free either, so adding addtional content to a game free free is nice, but isn't required by anyone.

The problem with DLC is that most DLCs are on par with swag, but they're not used like swag. How would you feel if a t-shirt cannon only accepted cash or credit? It's stupid.

Swag is gifted away for exceptional cheering, screaming, bad poetry, and taste in cereal. You don't sell swag.

Yes and they should force you too do so too. Getting things for free is just spoiled. (But i think they have allredy confirmed free content updates ^^)

DLC isent whats killing the game industry, gamers that expect FREE CONTENT seems a more likely reason.

Theres no such thing as new content that can "easily be done" they all take work and cost money for companies to make.

I think the problem with some DLC's is that they are much to expensive for what they are offering. For example: I buy Call Of Duty for 60 dollars. I get all the features of the game, around 12 maps, multiplayer, lots of guns, a campaign, and maybe some special missions.

Then they come out with a map pack for 20 dollars, which features maybe 4 maps. It makes no sense to me to buy 4 maps when i bought an entire game for 60.

What? gamers expect free content? Since when? All I have seen is DLC all over the place. DLC is killing gaming, just look at EA and Activision, are you not informed of these corporations? Please read up on what they do. They sell worthless DLC instead of selling games packed with content and not only are these DLC garbage content, they are also overpriced.

How is it being entitled to expect a developer to support their product? Do you see software companies making people pay to acquire updates? It probably happens but it's not common and not right. Product support after release is very important. DLC seems to me like a company trying to pinch every cent out of their customer. I won't lie however, I am tolerant toward cosmetic DLC since it does not affect gameplay but unless it's an expansion with a lot of content and at a fair price, DLC is a way to be a penny pincher and it saddens me that people like you defend such business practices.

I think most people are aware about the bad business practices associated with DLC, this does not mean DLC is inherently bad. If I question the pricing of DLC compared to the price of the game (like kmike13 pointed out) I simply do not buy it. If the community creates better mods than the DLC that is offered, I won't buy it. However if it is a well made DLC that feels like an expansion pack of old, I will probably buy it.

DLC is simply the new word for Expansion pack. There was a thread about this a while ago, please don't redo that thread, as it was really tiring. Its just that these days developers have various ideas on what constitutes a good DLC pack or expansion, whatever term you find best fitting.
