C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\monday night combat\Engine\Config BaseInput.ini Look for: bEnableMouseSmoothing=true change it to: bEnableMouseSmoothing=false It should be right by the top
Is that the right file to edit? Wouldn't it be: \Documents\My Games\UnrealEngine3\HostileGame\Config\HostileInput.ini Anyway, mouse smoothing isn't quite the same as mouse acceleration. I don't feel like the game has accel turned on, and it seems to ignore my windows mouse settings. What kind of mouse do you have? Maybe your drivers are forcing it somehow My question is, how can I enable some small amount of acceleration? (not smoothing)
My friend and I were investigating this earlier, and although I have yet to personally try it, he says it does work and the aiming feels much better within the game. What we did is: Open up: My Documents\My Games\UnrealEngine3\HostileGame\Config\HostileInput.ini Within the config, search for the section: [HostileGame.HPlayerInput] Underneath that line, add the following: bViewAccelEnabled=False Save file, load the game, destroy moneyball So give that a try, and see if it helps improve mouse handling within the game. Edit: Oops, he already posted this in the other section, sorry for duplicating.
You can tweak the settings all you want, but the game is 3rd person and so is the aiming; No one seems to understand this. The aiming based on pivot aiming and is done with three points ... cross-hair, you, and your view ... pivoting on you of course. If you can imagine it, that's why your aim feels accelerated cause while you control your cross-hair, your view is exaggerated because of the pivot. Works great for controllers like on the console systems ... but is counter productive on the PC with a mouse. First person shooters have a two point system ... you and your cross-hair. Your mouse movement is directly translated to your cross-hair.
But that has nothing to do with mouse acceleration and I don't think you've got all your facts straight to begin with. But here's the thing, mouse acceleration is real, it was on, and now it's off. Anyone will tell you first or third person that mouse acceleration is easily noticeable. It's not based on your perspective, it's your mouse sensitivity being changed on the fly based on the rate the mouse is changing position.
