Hello all, I was simply wondering if anyone here plays Total Annihilation Commander pack version from GOG and was interested in doing some multiplayer, same with SupCom FA. Message me if interested or post on the thread. It's really difficult to find a group of people to play TA with these days since most people I know don't play it. I also play TA on Spring.
Actually I was just thinking how ridiculous it would be is someone made a "PA:Kingdoms" mod. 1. In a fantasy setting how do you get units from planet to planet in a reasonable way. And yes you could just use regular old teleportation..... but that's kind of a cop out. 2. In a fantasy setting what do you do with the orbital layer? 3. How rad would it be to see a lunar landscape, with a planet in the background, and see a bunch of dudes in leather armor beating each other with swords on the moon.
Well, orbital layer could be Gods playfield And I'm sure you can send someone to the moon with a sufficiently large catapult. Code: A space dragon that fly's from world to world. +1 for space dragons
I personally never been a fan of TA kingdoms. But other than that, is anyone here interested in playing some TA multiplayer? Perhaps Supcom FA?
You should probably visit the Forged Alliance Forever website and prepare to be pleasantly surprised.
For TA go here http://phoenixworx.org/ http://www.e-warzone.com/ and also the main forums for TA are currently http://www.tauniverse.com/ See you there mate
Check the TA Universe website. They point the way to all the standard locations of TA play nowadays: http://www.tauniverse.com/play-ta/
Thank you guys for the links. I was curious though, do these people play for fun or are they the super competitive type that spam the most effective unit?
FAF has a bit of a reputation amongst the Steam players as being too hardcore and competitive, but I don't think that's really fair. If you want competition you'll find it, but there are plenty of noob games hosted too. FAF peaks at around 600 players online so there's a good spread of skill. FAF also has a lot of bug fixes, a few new features and some generally very good rebalancing.
