There aren't any in trailer, mexes are build upon solid ground and close to each other. Is it intentional?

I see nor any metal/mass deposits nor any mexes. I see mass fabricators and energy generators though, scattered around the base. In PA trailer I see a lot of mexes, grouped together (one even being build). grouped together. Twice. And a few frames specifically about mexes

I wonder why? It look like being intentional.

As I've said before try not to read too much about gameplay specifics into the trailer. Metal spots weren't intentionally left out, just not included because they weren't important to get the point across.

But mexes themselfs are? Why so tightly packed? I may understand having one mex appeared ("we have same streaming eco than before"), I may undestand more mexes appeared on later stages ("Orbital travel require a lot of resources"), but why they are just built all tightly packed, not scattered around the globe? And why so much of them and in close-up. I'm sorry, but it's just weird =)

But probably it's just me. I haven't noticed that at the first time, due to all the hype, but now I'm in the opposite mood, so it could be overreacting.

My guess is that there is as many as the video description suggests.

    none

Anyway, I am sure they needed SOME KIND of structure to build bases out of in the trailer. So, they built factories and mexes probably. Looks very industrial. Shows you tons of buildings being built.

They didn't expect people to notice WHAT the buildings were. That being said, maybe it's an easter egg. Why don't we test it when the game comes out, you can play against me and use the same strategy for building base as used in the video, and see if it works.

That way, I can boost my win/loss early in the game's release.

Dude, seriously. Don't look at that video as gameplay gospel, you will just hurt your brain. Analyzing something that is effectively random is like trying to get information from tea leaves.

It's a trailer, not the actual game.

The SupCom trailer shows T2 radar before T2 power. Everything in there is just placed to look awesome.

I'd wager it's the same for the PA trailer, and true for more than 90% of all vidya game trailers.

Now, did you enjoy the PA trailer? Are you interested in PA? If you are, then the trailer did it's job. Trailers are for gathering interest. They're not tutorials or encyclopaedic articles.

Lies! Using only tea leaves and a bit of nitric acid, I could foresee what awaits this Universe after the Age of Stars, and how (SPOILERS!) it will eventually dissolve itself into the void.
Though I'll admit it, shorter-range predictions tend to be a bit wonky.

You are underestimating the effort necessary to come up with vague enough predictions so everyone can relate to them in twelve versions and not have them look too similar.

    Anyway, metal spots are OP.

    on that note,
did anyone from the official side acknowledge, that metal will be a resource?

perhaps all the bots are made of paper and the commander is just a master at origami. ;)

hmm would open a whole new perspective on rock paper scissors balancing....
