Everytime I go on a game on my xbox, I will get an update for it. So for example, I'll go on MNC and get an update, then i'll go off MNC and go on FIFA, and get an update for that. Then, I'll go back on MNC and get another update for that. However, I never get updates when i go on cod, regardless of whether i've gone on a game before that. Now you'll understand that getting an update everytime you go on a different game is irritating, especially when your in a party and are disconnected from live to download the update. So my question is, does anyone know how to stop this from happening?
[strike]Clear your cache.[/strike] Don't play so many games that require updates back-to-back. Even with the November '09 firmware update you've still got a limited amount of space allotted for title updates, so when you decide to play another game with a title update when you've reached that limit you lose one of the title updates stored on your hard drive. That's your problem right there. EDIT: Aw....I really wanted a strike through that incorrect statement...
Thanks. I usually only play about 4 games now so do you reckon that 4 title updates will be able to fit on the hard drive or is it too much?
I don't recall what the increased limit is(the previous limit was five games: so every sixth game you played requiring a title update deleted another title update), but with only playing a handful of games requiring updates you shouldn't be experiencing such issues. If you were clearing your cache for what ever reason you'd need to update for ALL games... Are you playing CoD offline? That would definitely explain the lack of an update for it.
I play CoD online occasionally and last night i checked on my hard drive and i saw something like 'cod blackops title update 3' saved in my memory and not in the cache thing so i don't know how that happened lol
