I agree. You'll get people to buy the game in droves then. Item I ideas time. Bullseye hat Assassin's tech mask for misc Spy slot Lasor Razor Spy Knife skin Ammomule shotgun skin for Engineer ~"WWOOOO WEEE. Makin' Bacon!"
Its a cheap salestrick but it works. I have been playing TF2 active for a year and a half now, and if there is a hat you can get from buying a game, it will be bought. Then the whinestorm starts on the TF2 forum how Valve sells themself etc. But that happens on a daily basis so pay no attention to that But its not a bad idea, i would love to see this game become a success. You have a eye for details and your animations are delicious. Your PC Trailer was awesome and funny. And where do i get the background music! tell me pretty please?
Devs: However stupid this idea may (understandably) sound to you, if you can feasibly arrange it with Valve, do so. It seriously is likely to boost your sales considerably. Include a limited-edition TF2 hat with bgolus' $500 bulk pack and people will probably buy that, too. ...
Really want a MNC item to show my support but the game will be forever known as the game that piggy backed of valve (Even though it's popular on Xbox already). So like, only give the hat to me and you guys
PLEASE DO! Plus, if you do have TF2 hats, not only will it boost your pre orders, but it will show those people who think this is a ripoff of tf2 that it is totally not. maybe then those people might give this game a chance!
Yeah I forgot this part. The TF2 crew that whine about the game being a ripoff clearly never have played it. They'll buy the game for just the hat, and even though it's a cheap marketing trick you may just hook a few folks who would have never tried the game prior. I play both games and they are no where alike outside of generic glass functions and a neato artstyle.
Why don't we have our TF2 hats, but keep them a secret? Maybe? No? Maybe? Have no idea what I'm talking about? Yes?
Coming from a TF2 community, games which sell with in-game items are usually bought for the items. A lot of people which i know who are die hard TF2 fans buy games just for the items. They also bring in players on the fence whether to get the game or not.
It might be hard to get Valve to support MNC in that manner. While MNC and TF2 are different games, MNC would likely steal players from TF2 if this occured. The two games compete in the non-realistic multiplayer FPS area.
