What the h e doublehockeysticks happened to the Assassin?

I've been playing this game quite a lot for quite a while and went on vacation the day the update came out Dec. 1...

I came back yesterday and now I find the Assassin is basically unplayable. Not because of updates or nerfs but rather because of bugs.

Failed Lunge - give me a break... escaping and attacking have just become failures about 1/3rd of the time.

Failed Grappel - this seemed like it was a bit of a problem in the original release, was better after the update and now is back to original release standards.

In general, the game seems a bit laggier (I have a 6mb up/16 down connection) and the lag seems to be really affecting the Assassin. I'd start your debugging there

I read the list of updates and I'm glad you guys are updating and adding new content but, c'mon - unintentionally introducing such drastic bugs... you do testing, right? On a network with lag simulated?...

It just really takes the enjoyment out of playing Assassin.

I notice no more assassin bugs then there were before the DLC. Mostly stutter-stepping.

Why I have been playing assault, the new lag and framerate slowdown coupled with all the already existing assassin problems is really sucking the fun out of the sin

I love doing Lunge, then only traveling 1/8th the distance of the Lunge.. allowing a Gunner to kill me.. then letting him think hes the **** for killing me because of that ****..

I don't know what you mean by "stutter-stepping"....

Here's the deal - it appears to me that lag is causing bugs aside from just seeing the affects of lag that were not present before. By virtue of the fact that the game appears to be more laggy than before, the result is bugs that probably existed before becoming more prominent.

That aside, if you have played assassin for any length of time you would know that the lunge has never had a problem with "being cut short" i.e. you fly half the distance you're supposed to. That is a new bug and an obvious one that causes many tactical problems.

I've played easily a hundred hours of sin and apparently this bug is also obvious to others that have done the same.

If you don't see it, you didn't play sin enough before or not enough now or [insert other rude options]. Denying the existence of something that obviously does exist... well, I'm done with the defense.

Perhaps you and those others have a bad connection. The only times my lunge ever falls short is if I'm stunned or hit a jump pad or something. I play every class and I play this game quite a bit.

The "stutter-stepping" mentioned I believe refers to being unable to use Dash, at all. The lag gets so bad that it doesn't register the skill for more than a couple frames, if at all. You'll look like you're dashing, but only in your character's animation. The skill will not drain and your speed will be unchanged.

I have a friend that has about 23 down/13 up (according to speedtest), yet his connection is actually worse than quite a lot of our friends that have average connections. Sometimes when he pulls host on CoD it lags really bad for the whole lobby.

I'm pointing out that your "logic" is flawed since my friend, who has a better connection than you, still manages to lag more than a lot of people I know with average connections. You can stop being a faggot and a dumbass now, thanks.

If you have a bad ping, that will cause your better-than-America connection to have problems.

Id like to point out that lunges always have had problems with randomly falling short.

It annoys me to no end when I try to lunge to the middle pad on grenade only to go like half an inch forward and fall off the map. :roll:
