Just curious if there was any sort of discount/compensation for us 360 owners who bought this game on launch. I would have bought it on PC forever ago since I mainly only game here on it. I enjoy and love it on 360, just hate the idea of paying for it twice, even if it's something of quality that I wouldn't mind as much.
Wait, you're asking them to refund you for part of a $15 game?!? The pc version is 10% off, so it's basically like giving you a 9.x% refund on your xbox version. Or just skip 1 meal and be thankful that genius is rewarded with success.
No, that's asking a bit much. In that case, over 200,000 people would get a free PC copy/discount/whatever
I said I'd buy it twice and I will. I do not expect Uber to offer any sort of discount. They can't really.
I don't think Steam even has any code redeeming or stuff like that. I think Uber would probably have to directly gift a MNC to your Steam account or something.
Of course not. Since when has buying a game on one system ever given you a discount if you later buy it again on another? Sure it does. How do you think physical retail games that require Steam activation (like retail copies of Valve's own games, for instance) work?
I have a slightly different context for the same question. I bought this game less than 10 days ago, now that I finally own a 360, and given I figured it would never come out for PC. If I had heard this news 10 days ago, I would have never put down money for it on X360, and waited for it on PC instead. At the /very/ least, can there be a trade-in program or something? Although given that it seems a team of snipers can already mop the floor on 360, I suppose I might end up being glad I didn't get the PC version...
Just want to pop in here and say the $15 I spent on the 360 game was a rip off on Uber's side. Many features and level of support to the community via updates and patches are something that you don't quite get with $60 games. So paying $27 for two versions of the game is fine with me, since I get to enjoy the game with Dedi's and with the wider horizons of my PC. And yeah, I just came from Preordering. Feels good man.
I feel like I've gotten more than my money's worth out of the xbla version and I'm only a level 90 something, non-all star.
Not gonna happen. That's not up to Uber Entertainment, and they don't handle the billing on XBLA and Steam directly. Microsoft is not going to refund your Xbox 360 purchase, so that you can go buy it on Steam instead.
I can't help but laugh at this thread. I mean, you serious lol? You go asking around to those companies that make games for computers and consoles to give you a discount if you had bought console version and want computer version after?
I payed twice for it and i'd pay double the price if it meant they get more money to help this game grow, $15 is too damn cheap for something of this quality.
the amount of extra support this will get on steam will be amazing, they play around with the steam version then update the xbox version on what they think, that and dedicated servers, button mapping etc etc, well worth paying the same price again
