This is a pretty good excuse to go get that capture card I've been wanting.

Bah. Wish I could do this, I would love to have some awesome Gunner Grapples to show off, but my only extra money this paycheck is going to an Acoustic Guitar!

 My capture card can only do 720x480
When is the deadline? I need time to go buy a new one... damned SD technology.
Better yet, does anyone have any suggestions for a good Capture card?
How is it you guys play games you are recording? Off of your PC screen?

I THINK You should be able to get a splitter, when i had a capture card on a SD tv I used three of them, and it just made my screen darker. A guy I knew tried to play with the screen on the PC, and complained about the delay. I told him "get splitters" and he about drove 20 hours to hug me. I told him not to since I don't hug guys :p

And will the prizes go just to the person who films it?

I use and would personally suggest using the Hauppauge HD PVR. It captures great looking gameplay and is an external piece of hardware. Very easy to use. And it is probably the most popular amongst gamers who record gameplay. So if you ever needed help or had a question with it, then it could be answered easily.

    http://store.hauppauge.com/hardware2.asp?product=hd_pvr

It is $199.99, But if you have the extra money on hand then I would highly suggest doing it. Especially for a contest like this. So take this chance while you have it!

I would love to, but I can't think of a way I could hook up an HD PVR to my setup.

    Few things-
    1. My clips:
    Tank Gameplay- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_RW7nnjXHw
    Assault Gameplay- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wp7tnvexokA
    Nasty Headshot- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aS0UQpFP ... er&list=UL
    Gunner Gameplay- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R5h3Qy3z ... re=related
I have the sources and can edit so you just get clips from the gameplays.

    2. I can't record again for a while because I got a new TV and I need an HD cap card, but they're $200.

    3. I heard from multiple sources that the Black Magic Intensity Pro is the best cap card on the market.

Credit goes to myself and varies depending on which video you choose.

Well, went ahead and ordered the internal card from AverMedia. I'm not made of money, especially around the holidays :? , so I'll just have to cross my fingers and hope my system can play the HDMI signal in real time. (3.2Ghz AMDX2, 8GB DDR2 RAM, 512MB 4850 Radeon HD, Vista) Worse comes to worse, I'll just return it. Amazon has a very nice return policy.

Aside from the capture card, what editing programs are good to use? Free is my favorite number of course ;)
