This is a call out to all of the guys/gals that brought themselves the custom commander reward tier.

I understand that you will be granted five keys, which allow you to share out your commander amongst your friends. Now maybe you don't want or need all of those keys. Maybe you would consider donating one (or more) of your keys to members of the community?

If you are looking to receive a key:
    make a request below.

If you are looking to donate a key:
make a post saying who you have granted your key for, so that we don't end up with some users getting more than one key. You can then PM them your key.

For anyone that chooses to donate their key, we all appreciate your charity.

With all that said, I'll start the ball rolling.

To give away one of these keys would be a supremely generous act.

And I'd love to have one :)

Why would anyone just give a stranger their custom commander keys? If you don't have 5 friend you'll probbably just keep the keys for yourself or sell them for a small fortune on ebay.

This is really sad to see, as Zordon said, digital panhandling, especially considering you guys don't even know what they look like yet >.>

Why would I give away a key to some cheap bastard who decided not to support the game as much as me? it just dilutes the awesomeness of the commanders anyhow. Im gonna throw my surplus keys in the bin!

Not everyone who supports the game is going to be a millionaire with huge piles of expendable cash just laying around, I would suspect some of us are barely breaking even, or maybe on government support. Yet we still contributed as much as we could because we love the game, and wanted to help support the developers. Just because that amount is less than yours doesn't make us cheap, and you have no right to demean our contribution.

Asking politely for something that is outside of our reach doesn't make us bastards. Maybe if we had demanded it, or had expressed some right of entitlement then you may have had a cause to complain, but I see no evidence of that in this thread.

However your short posting does reveal many insights into your character, which I find to be needlessly cruel and malevolent, you have my pity.

I may consider offering one of my keys as a reward in some kind of tournament (ingame of course).

But for free? I worked several days to get the money for buying the commander. Why exactly should I now give away the commander to people who did nothing but write one little sentence in a forum? The incentive is really missing guys...

There is no reason why you should, they are yours to do with as you wish, and if you think that the best way; for you is to give them out in a competition, with a reward at the end, then that is actually a good idea, and i sincerely hope that you consider it.

I would also like to thank you for choosing to support the development of this game at the level that you did. You have helped make it a better game for all of us by giving the devs more breathing room.

But I feel that some of you maybe missing the point of charity, it is the act of giving away to those less fortunate. There doesn't need to be any reward for the donor other than the knowledge that they are helping someone out when they are in a worse situation. It is truly a case of altruism where the donor is giving up something of theirs and doesn't expect to receive anything in return, either monetarily or for their reputation.

But still they do it because they know that it is something good that they are giving back to the world. Or maybe they wish that others would treat them with similar kindness if they were to fall on hard times? I can't speak for the motivation of the potential donors because i am sure everyone's own opinions and reasons differ quite significantly. Making it quite difficult for me to generalize.

Giving a special collection of one's-and-zero's to someone on the Internet is not charity. It's an affront to those who are truly less fortunate... the poor, the sick, and the disadvantaged.

Think a limited edition commander model will put food on the table for a family?

If you've got a roof over your head, and a belly full of food, you're better off than 50% of the world's population. Don't push your luck.

The thing is, nobody can't control if it is a truly less fortunate or a cheap bastard asking for a key.. No content is missed when people do not have the special commander, so there is no point in giving a key away.. it only leads to trouble! Also, I can't retract the key after I gave it away.. So no.. While I am sorry for the truly less fortunate, blame the cheap lying bastards for me not giving keys away..
