Planetary Annihilation Alpha

Does anybody know when the alpha (or beta) will start for Planetary Annihilation?

The Alpha will start sometime before the Beta, and the Beta will start sometime before Release.

Why do people keep asking this? it's a how long is a piece of string question!

The alpha will show up no later than six months from now. That would be about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way through development, after they have nailed down most of the underlying engine work. After that point it will be bug and balance testing.

Well, they have said multiple times that they made part of the engine, but that's it. There is also a post somewhere saying that the next couple months will be nothing but getting the most important code up, which means there is no chance of anything playable within that time.

I am not concerned with alpha yet I am just waiting to eat up the development updates.

What I said was kind of a development update. They mentioned it during the feed that they would spend the next couple months working on the most important code (like the engine).

They are aiming for spring.

I wouldn't exactly be surprised if that goal is off by a month or two in either direction.

Spring it is then. Also, don't go hating when people ask this. It has been asked alot but most people don't get an answer so they ask again. They just want to know when they can install awesomeness on their computer. Just tell them it's probably spring. Then, they'll shut up.

they did too! in tb interview they said they where making the planet generator.

I almost considered buying the alpha, but i figured it might not be worth it, what with all the potential bugs and all.

Good thing too, you clearly don't understand the reason of the Alpha! ;p

How is it trolling? Trolling is me calling you a derogatory term for NOT knowing that planets are proceduarally generated as it's on the KS page. It's s little odd you didn't realize this until now seeing as you did read it but whatever.
