I never knew about Total Annihilation until I found a relation of it to Supreme Commander (that one I found out while checking out random game trailers).

GoG.com has it for 5-6 bucks. Works perfectly. Played it today. Invaded Core Prime. ^_^

Bleh I'll just pirate it if I'll ever get a need to.

Not sure if its particularly polite to say that on forums that have people that actually made that game on.

To be fair, it's not as if they're paid on royalties. Isn't that 5-6 bucks just going in GoG.com's pockets?

Part of it will. The rest will go to Atari. None of the original developers will see even a cent from that money.
