As there is at least two wikies, both unpopulated, by now, I wonder what community and devs thinks about this at all.
Wiki hosted by Uber would be the best option. I made that wiki only because a wiki on wikia is pretty much useless, to many limitations, barely readable design and lot of the screen space is wasted on displaying adds, chats or other useless social functions. But in case there won't be an official wiki, i will spend the next few days on populating the second wiki. PS: I would rather prefer padev.uberent.com or devwiki.planetaryannihilation.com, because after all it's not the game which is being documented but the development process.
agreed, wikia is nearly useless these days, they loaded it up with so many "features" and ads that its hard to make heads or tales one on ubers site would be nice, but makegames is decent
I agree that Wikia kind of sucks, but as I said in the other wiki thread, we don't know who's administering the machines on the Makegames.de wiki and whether it won't lose the data, or if it will always remain up. I voted for an official wiki, but I'm not sure if Uber Entertainment employees will bother setting one up. It's an extra thing for them to worry about. Uber_netrino, would you guys want to get a MediaWiki wiki up for us? We can probably just find a better wiki service that doesn't have so much garbage on it like Wikia.
I'd prefer if we hosted on a wiki service that has some degree of professional hosting behind it. For example, people employed to make sure the site is up and data isn't lost. Oh my, look at that, I've moved the wiki to ShoutWiki, and it looks a lot better than Wikia. The most notable sections are: Features: Proposed and Confirmed UI Design Considerations Orders as First-Class Entities Area Commands
Seriously, you guys are killing me over here. I am about to make a unit suggestion to Uber: Wiki-engine themed bots - so we could see it all play out on the PA battlefield...
