I don't really care who makes it, but some kind of online stat service would be cool. Even if it was just a database where end-of-game statistics get dumped and sorted.

If there's no online system, I'd say at least let people keep track of their own stats locally.

A lot of what I would like to accomplish is heavily dependent on online multiplayer. If this game doesn't include ubernet matchmaking I will be disappointment. Not mad because I'll still play it but I can almost guarantee they are going to include it because it's what a lot of people want I think, and UberEnt is one of the great teams that try to give the fans what thy want.

Like I said. I would be happy to put in the grunt work absolutely for free. If Über wants to do it themselves Im happy too. I just think their developers time could be better spent developing a solid game the working about a companion piece that I am ready willing and able to help provide.

Either way with the poll stats and number of views, the fans are at least interested in the prospect while some that are interested have gone even further to suggest how they want the info protected etc.

It does speaks volumes about Über that they have such a dedicated and vocal canvass that wants to donate and provide ideas for them.

I apologize for any grammar, punctuation and spelling oversights as I am posting this with my iPhone with the infamous spider app (cracked screen).

Also I think this is a great test bed so if/when they release further titles or more MNC titles they can tie those stats in and create an all encompassing "UberNet" portal to the likes of many other development teams/companies that are doing the same.

It helps track stats (to make you better), track and share achievements (sharing = free advertising BTW), and a community companion which could down the road include mobile app variations. It also creates a solid web presense for ubernet that further games could report to so you have 1 account and can track all your amazing ubernet stats.

The sooner the better so you don't have a care log of games without the hooks neccesary to pull the data. Think of MNC and SMNC. It may or may not take a lot of extra time to go in and update the server software to push the data. Also all the games and hours logged would be lost in the reports and analytics.

It's also a cool marketing piece for UberEnt because thy get to say "hey our users have destroyed 1 million planets and logged 10000 earth years. join them. Click here. " etc.

This could also be the way to enable persistence, and track units on multiple servers if my dream of distributed server games becomes a reality - if that is even considered as an option for future DLC/Mod support etc.

    just saying.

Great idea. I think it's time for me to sum up this information and update my original post with all the ideas contained within, so people don't have to read over everything.

We already have our own back-end services layer to handle online stats etc.

    I'm a tad confused, I apologize.

Was that message meaning you already have the layer in place to pull the stats and which would allow me to make the software, or as in you already have plans to develop your own site to do so?

Thanks for the clarification ahead of time.
