Well hello there guys, its been a while since bug reports, but this one is just too cool ot ignore.

To make room on my itsy bitsy harddrive, I decided it would be a good idea to run MNC off of my portable 1TB. So the transfer happened and all was good in the world.

Now the most interesting bug i've ever seen occured.

I got into a lobby as usual, game timed down then I got the loading screen. Instead of the game loading I went back into the lobby, alone. I assume the game started. This isn't much of a problem because well, it means I get to be host (university internet is awesome for hosting).

People quickly joined and the timer went down once more. This time, instead of being booted back to a lobby by myself, I was sent into the /game/ by myself. 3 minutes later had a nice 2k money from my no resistance gameplay.

I've tried running it off of other platforms (memory stick, memory unit etc) and it always happens. Put it back on the harddrive and the game runs as it should. Got a friend to test it downstairs who also has the game and sure enough, it happens.

Anyone else get this problem, or is it local to just my uni residences? :p Good luck on this one ^_^

I thought the limit for external memory devices was 16 GB. But I'll have to check this out myself now.

Hacked boxes aside, you can use any size device, but it only allows you to use 16 GB on that device. I.e., a 1TB USB drive can be used, but the 360 will only use 16GB of that drive. Gotta love Microsoft!

Yeah only 16 is used, but its not as if i can't use the rest for normal storage. I just mentioned the fact it was external due to it not being the norm when storing stuff (most people I know use memory sticks only). I thought it might have been my methods at first, but changing it over did nothing.

Its back to the harddrive permenantly now :)

Anyway, that's interesting... so you wind up in a Crossfire game all by yourself for as long as you want? I wonder if *ahem* some people are boosting like this?

People can boost in private Crossfire matches anyway - there was a lot of ****-waving and stupidity about it back when the first few people got to LVL99.

And I also thought that it reformatted your entire drive - evidently not. I'd be raging if I bought one of those over-priced "Memory Units". Or a HD-DVD player, to go a little off-topic. I've been burnt by Microsoft accessories before; the Wireless Headset is a piece of junk.

Like I said, I'll have to check this out. What I really want to do is explore the MNC game files to get the music files. Not for any malicious tomfuckery.

If you get the music files, get the character voice files too! Pleaaaase! I want those so badly  I will beg and plead for those, no lie xD

Note before you try it: It DOES reformat the entire drive, but you can then use the rest of it as you please :)

Other notes: The data files are encryted, and I lack the skills or the knowledge to decrypt it, no voice files for you. I'm also not /entirely/ sure how legal doing so would be, so I'd vote no even if I could. You could always ask Uber really nicely? :3

By "music" files, I meant "sound" files.

    HIYO BACON

I'd only do it if it was cool with Uber - when I see the hilarity and creativeness that the Team Fortress 2 sound files have inspired, I wonder why they don't just put the lines up themselves. Probably something to do with the voice actor's royalties and such.

I am now sad. Pleaaaase Uber! Pleaaaaaaase! Release sound files because I love the game that much. Sound files get ripped from like every game on the PC so I dunno, is that legal or illegal? But than again I don't ever really see anyone profit off of sound rips from games, so does that make it fair use or whatever? Legalities are a pain. :(

I believe they were asked for the music before, not the actual character lines. And yes, the legality of it is a little Scooby dubious. This thread is now about getting a Mickey Cantor ringtone for my phone. HIYO

    Now that sounds like a good idea. I'd be more partial to various tanking quotes >.>;

I've been almost dissapointed with the increase in tanks in the game, I have a habbit where I wait for everyone else to pick their class then pick one of the few that remain. I want mah tank back!
