    First Idea

    Ranked Matches
These matches are strictly for those who want to flaunt there awesomeness and for people who want to not play in the pubs and have a serious game.
These ranked matches will rank you up based on performance in game ((No not by K/D)) but by playing your class correctly and getting wins. You can be de-ranked due to lots of bad games or some poor play on your part.

    Technicalities:
No current way to measure ones performance based on playing a certain class correctly.

    Pros:
Not too much need for private matches to have close crazy hardcore games.
Something to make your ego bigger then it already is.

    Cons:
I haven't thought of any at the moment I'm trying too.

    Second Idea.

    Hardcore Crossfire
I love the hardcore mode from COD 4 and wanted to see more games do stuff like it

    Removal of:

    Ejectors
    Annihilators
    Juice station
    Mascot
    Assassin's Cloak hum
    Lvl indicators on turrets
    Enemy spotlight after a kill
Enemy nameplates showing current positions((Im not sure if this is supposed to be their but i seem to be able to generally know where people are even for a second because their GT comes up randomly))

    Additions:

Bots spawn with more health and deal a lot more damage and move alittle quicker
Bots spawn at quicker intervals of time
Money ball restored in maybe 5 seconds or something I'm not too sure but have it restored under its shields faster.
Pro spawned bots gain same buffs as regular bot spawns.
Shorter re spawn time when your money ball is down

    Pros:
    Tougher game
    Possibility to have longer games

    Cons:
    Not for everybody
    Could be totally broke.
    Just an idea

Well those are my ideas and possible wishes hope the community agrees or has some adjustments to possibly make some really solid ideas

I could be wrong too, but aren't all matches ranked now anyways?

...Wouldn't boosting one's ego fall under the cons? Just my thought :|

Sounds pretty awesome to me :D

So, basically you want to take out everything that makes MNC its own game? I'm not sure what is so "hardcore" about this playlist. And some of your additions make the game easier, not harder.

@Wandrian: I would like to think that the matches are ranked now but I honestly cannot call this leveling system a calculation of rank since a level 30 or 40 could easily have more skill then a 99.

I guess ego boosting could fall under both its good for some but just makes things worse for others.

@Billy: Well most classes have enough ability to eject most things so why leave the ejectors. besides bot clearing I can't really think of a reason to leave it.

The annihilator either needs to do more damage to be worth it or nothing its about the same with the ejectors I think.

I never really thought the juice station as something important besides a way to waste cash and wreck anything if needed.

the mascot well I dunno why removing it would be good I made this list at like 4 in the morning.

Assassins cloak hum removal speaks for itself

The turret levels indicators are not needed in my opinion because each turret changes based on lvl and should be something ingrained already in most of the player base here.

the enemy spot light after a kill is so you cant see where the person killed you the only class having a pretty good advantage in this would be a sniper. Yeah i know it ruins the fun of taunting and the extra bit of cash it gives.

The additions could use some tweaking. It crossed my mind that it would make the game faster. Maybe removing the speed and interval in between bots buff would be a better choice but leaving things like more damage and a little more health could do the trick. I'm not too sure.

Most of the additions had to be small because this game currently is so fast and could be over in the blink of an eye. Which I hope the devs are working on possibly lengthening the games a bit.

Most of his suggestions seem pretty reasonable to me. Lessee...

    Removal of:

Ejectors/Annihilator/juice dispenser: The easy buttons. Can't do something well enough with skill? Throw money at the problem at it goes away.

Mascot: Just another thing for players to do that doesn't benefit their own team and don't we already have too much of that as it is? :|

Assassin's cloak hum: It seems unnecessary and annoying in my opinion, especially when I have to hear my own cloak sound. It also seems kind of moot. I don't usually hear the hum over the sounds of gunfire, what usually gives away enemy Assassins for me is them running in front of me with their cloaks betraying them.

Level indicators on turrents: Pretty much moot for lazerblazers and rockits, but the changes with the shaveice and longshot turrents are more useful, but still not too useful.

Deathcam: The one I'm not actually a fan of removing, but meh.

Enemy gamertags being displayed: They do kinda feed fuel to the folks that think it's a deathmatch game...

Most of his addition ideas sound all right to me as well.

Right, I'd forgotten that "ranked" matches on the 360 use the "TrueSkill" system. Which from what I've seen amounts to who is the most dedicated booster :|

In Crossfire it wipes out all bots other than Jackbots and damages absolutely everything on the enemy team so it's a bit of an easy button :|

EDIT: I think the Annihilator is fine in Blitz. It's a last hope gamble ceasing defense to run towards it and it doesn't even stop Jackbots that move at the speed of Assassins so...

"Easy Buttons": The Annihilator costs $250, which could easily be used to purchase a new skill level AND serves as a focus point on the map for Pro vs. Pro.
The Ejectors take both skill and timing to use properly (and $50). These can be avoided without too much trouble, and if they miss, they are a waste of $50 and make you a stationary target for about two seconds.
The Juice Stations are also a focus point for Pro vs. Pro, since if you plan to buy some, you need to control that section of the map, or risk dying before you get to the station, or buying juice and getting killed before you can activate it. It also is there so you have something to spend your money during the end of the game.

Bullseye: Extra money and Juice for whichever team can control the area around him.

Assassin's Cloak Hum: This has saved me plenty.

Level Indicators on Turrets: Level indicators could stay or go, but this suggestion is just extra coding that really doesn't need to be done.

Enemy Gamertags: Displays the classtype, health level, and helps you identify the person. If I know they are a good player, of course I'm going to go out of my way to kill them when I see them. They are dangerous, and they are doing the most work for their team, which they can't do if they are dead.

Additions: The bot ideas are good, but those should be implemented in standard Crossfire anyway IMO. The Moneyball going up in five seconds is ridiculous. If your Moneyball went down, you SHOULD have to defend it for 30 seconds or whatever the current time is, and respawning quicker would just give the worse team a handicap, which would be pointless.

    @Billy:
I wasn't really sure on the Moneyball because I don't have enough information on how fast it could go down depending on how many people are attacking it. ((Juice is not going into account))

The fast respawn time was placed in because of this lack of information and to possibly give a better chance to make the game longer and give a bit of a better defensive sort of aspect.

Display of the GT/health/class is nice but I don't want to be able to see it from across the map and I'm not aiming at it. It should either appear when your reticule is over it or you are in the immediate area of a certain yard range.

The cloak hum is nice and it saves my butt a lot as certain classes but coming from an assassins point of view. I should be able to slip around and be a bit more sneaky without too much trouble. The added fact that half of the classes ie: Tank/gunner and assault((I think)) can survive a grapple and then counter attack it just makes it easier with the hum.

The level indicators shouldn't be too much problem removing since its just a removal of display code ((I'm not very informed on coding so I'm guessing))

Bullseye is well...I don't even bother with him. I'm still not sure whether to leave him or not. He is kind of a distraction and a waste of time to do if you play to win.

    Anni/ejectors
When I thought of the anni and first saw it used in blitz I thought it would do exactly what it did to bots, it would do to players. That was outright wreck them. When I came into crossfire and used it I was surprised nobody died or it barely killed if lucky. I see it as a focal point of being in the center of the map and a place where pro v pro will happen but maps like Grenadeiii don't really suggest that.

As an assassin who gains money like nobody's business I seem to always have cash lying around that I don't mind using when the anni comes up instead of grabbing a skill because as a bot pusher it helps with my job.

The ejectors are nice but they could go or stay in my mind.

Juice Stations I just see as something to waste money. I personally would like to see more pro bot use then just saving up for juice money and wrecking things yourself.

Like Wandrian said if you happen to have the cash and its a nuisance just drop some money and boom problem solved.

I'd just like a version without too many distractions and durhhh big red truck ((The assassin is right next to you press your X button to Gunner slam them out of the arena)) moments. I like challenging games. MNC is challenging right now but it could be a lot more challenging with some tweaks

What a see is basically changes that would try to make a horrible AZAZN better. As stated, the current Crossfire settings are already ranked. With your system, it further encourages rage quitting when you're losing. A true ranking system compares you're ability to PLAY WELL regardless of if you win or lose. This should be a combination of k/d, amount of money earned, and wins (not losses. Amount of wins affects rank the LEAST. Anyone can win on an good team vs bad team. Joining mid progress on a losing team shouldn't push you.). How many times doesn't losing in a team vs team situation mean that everyone in the opposing winning team is that much better than you?

Getting rid of AZAZN hum is a terrible idea. Let's just make her completely immune to dmg while cloaked and have never ending cloak? You know what gets rid of the hum? Uncloaking. So basically, you want only the AZAZN to get an upgrade in this new mode? In stead of trying to made the AZAZN better for you, why not play the AZAZN better for the both of you?

I find most of the hardcore ideas a complete detract from the design of MNC. The lvl of the turret is OBVIOUS. They look different and have different animations. Why would we get rid of the ejectors/annih? That doesn't make it hardcore, it strips the game of another strategy to employ against bots and pros. If anything, it makes that game tougher. Removing Bullseye means that instead of ppl farming $ and not killing bots, they will be farming $ by killing your bots. If anything, he serves as a friend distracting.

I don't mean to put you on blast for this, but seeing this suggestion only makes me feel that ppl only want to make themselves happy rather than a community when they don't think of the implications of removing and adding aspects to and from a game...

Yeah. Pretty much what he said. Besides, I always turn my cloak off when I'm behind someone anyway.

    @tlbww

Did you read my post at all?

The assassin hum staying makes no sense at all besides a way to know when the assassin is near. Removing it is not a core reason to this hardcore game idea. Removing it is an addition to make the game tougher. To remove the training wheels and to always make a player on edge, that is the reason.

It is not just a way to make people who suck at playing assassin better it is to give a sense of tension to the enemy and a bit more freedom as the assassin.

I honestly dont know what to change for each class though to make it fair. Each class right now is fairly good for this mode and would accel with ease.

Exactly so why put the number telling you what lvl it is on the side.

Thats what I'm wishing for. A tougher game mode not just changes to the game itself

I'm still thinking about removing or leaving him and whether it would be a good idea or not.

If I didnt think about the implications how would I come up with the idea.

I get that your not trying to blast me but implying that i wasn't thinking about the community and just trying to make myself more happy was not needed. I wouldn't have posted my idea on the forums if i didn't want feedback which is what i was hoping for.

    Thank you for replying

Woah! A lot of text for a lame subject line. Don't feel like reading it all atm just to add this little "tip." lol

Anyways most of your "hardcore" options will be coming in the free Spunky Cola Special dlc for Private Matches.

Well guess I'm just ignorant. Guess i just bide my time then. See if the devs spot some interesting game types going around in the private matches that they would possibly think of making them into public game modes.

I must've said it twenty times by now, but I guess I can always just say it again. We don't have a big enough community for multiple game types. We just don't.

    two things...

one, the con of it would be "splitting the player base". people cry themselves to sleep at night worrying about our poor fanbase...

two, if you ask to take the juice machines out of any form of selectable crossfire... everyone will say no because they want to be able to juice like mad and get uberstreaks. if they are so good for being able to juice, why cant they destroy turrets and get streaks without juice is somehow a lost answer (i bet i get a message saying they can get 50 kills easy without juice, they just choose not to... and waste the $500 and look less cool while getting kills, yeah thats reasonable if its a choice). they also cover behind the ruse that it will split the player base up, which in this case means they dont want to live with the kill-famine they will experience without newbie-randoms playing in their juiced-mode games to kill-farm off of... god forbid they have to play with somebody as good as themselves, or other good juicers, instead of bad randoms that they can juice on all day.

I just don't want to wait 15 minutes to get one match in, then have the entire other team leave in the first 30 seconds of the game and wait another 15 minutes to get another game.

Also, I can't remember the last time I bought juice during the normal part of the game. I always buy juice just before Overtime, but I think it is a waste before then.

Your game type should not be called hardcore but rather "Noob Assassin Heaven."

Seriously, what you're suggesting removes all of the assassin's disadvantages.

One idea that I did get from your post is that it might be a good to remove the hum at cloak level three. I never play as assassin and would totally be for this, especially in light of the dash nerf.

The Assassin already gets a major crit boost with cloak level 3. She is fine the way she is already.
