Oh who knows. Honestly, if i would pledge 10K i wouldnt tell anybody. Could only bring problems. At other projects ppl spend 10K too. You never know who is behind that, could be scammer, or somebody who got a good income, or maybe a other company supports secretly. If i would have the income, and chance, and wouldnt miss the money, you bet i would spend 10K too in there, just to immortelize myself in a game. Its tempting. Specially if it becomes a success and later maybe a golden oldy.
Notch wrote this on his twitter: and he might not be the only person with a bit more money who likes the idea of PA. If I really had alot of money I would just pledge 900k alone
That would be like a free pass for Notch to make more money. Free because Minecraft makes tons of money everyday.
Well but Minecraft was... not that suffisticated than this or some other Projects. I mean face it, they made there programm in there free time, then raised it up and sold it in a alpha way. Thats also okay, i mean, Endless Space made it the same way. When you got the money to get the game that far and finish devolope it by sellin it in a Alphastate. But a Kickstarter Campaign is good, too. And who knows, maybe they will put up the Idear of a Alpha-Sell too, when they decide that they could with a little bit more money bring in more Stuff. I guess they will be just happy if they raise there startinbudget. It gives you also some security in planing for the next 4-7 months.
can you as a project-owner actually see who pledged how much on kickstarter? or is it a personal friend?
once again, would uber show any interest in fan based kickstarter projects on various things that your current community wants?
I imagine he wants stretch goals on pre-existing games. Since it is Teapot, I surmise he wants to see a kickstarter in place for MNC Xbox content.
I believe it was Notch, the 10k pledge was up about at the same time he tweeted about the Kickstarter.
Unless Notch is a personal friend of neutrino, he's not the $10k backer. I'm taking a punt, and guessing it's Chris Taylor.
It wasn't. More likely to be Chris. [EDIT:] I thought I once mentioned this somewhere... then I scrolled up a few posts. hurpderp on my part there.
I was thinking CT then I read BM Post and It made me think it even more, I reakon notch did around 5K.
