Really? I knock people out all the time with level 2. It's also fairly easy to knock out multiple people, especially pros and their support healers . I was however referring more to bots when I said it damaged multiple targets.

I think you're underestimating the distance of the level 2 knock back.

That's even a big point that makes 2 better than 3, the knockback is less, but it's enough to do the job, and the loss in knockback is worth the vulnerability.

I believe pohtaytoes said this, "Sniper grapple is for grappling killing, assault charge is for ringing out"

i don't think im underestimating it its just in most games i have done, i don't send anyone flying i have seen some vids of people charging them with charge 2 and they fly like when you get hit by a tank charge, it might be my connection or luck but it doesn't send them into the air.

And atm i can't even play this game because there's no Aussies on it, we find another party of like 2 people and they message us asking us to invite people all the time we do the same we invite random people just to get a game started, then they leave since lag its really unlucky..i hope DLC brings some people back

poof, with magical herbs blended into a potion blessed and given to me from the nine divine (gold skillpill), my lvl 3 charge can now be used as rapidly as an assassin lunge. useful for escape, useful for hover with the Y button at ground level and charge to kill bots and assassins, useful to grapple and ringout... useful in every way moreso than charge 2.

I think whether or not to use Charge lvl 2 or 3 is personal preference, and also situational. Either can be good in certain situations against different characters and different skill levels of players. So this is a tough one to call. I'm not sure but Lvl 2 works for me, and also saves $400 for something else possibly more useful. E.g: Annihilator, ejectors, juice.

This, and I also stick with level 2 as I use the charge to gain ground/retreat to buildings faster.

you all know that its regen rate is faster at 3 than 2? you all know it reaches farther at 3 than 2? you all know that your money wont buy you an extra juice after the update, so you might as well buy it, right?

I'll spare everyone an Econ 101 lesson in opportunity cost but I like to save my money for turrets and buzzers over juice. A slightly faster regen rate is a non issue when I have a turret or nearby ejector covering my tracks. And as I stated earlier, while retreating into a mess of Blackjacks I like to avoid getting caught up in the popcorn machine with an unintentional shoryuken.

if your failing because of charge 3, i just found out your problem.

could it be your just now shouting "SHORYUKEN!" loud enough? i do it every time, and since i do it a lot, you must imagine how hard it is to sleep in nearby rooms at night...

jkjk, ffs just press Y and then B, its really an easy combo compared to the assassins or the tanks. E.G. you never shoryuken spam on SF without combo-ing it. not without your slo-mo ending-failure looking like your getting knee'd in the "hadoukens"

also, about money, if you use charge 3 to ringout more, then in 5 ringouts, you would have made more money than it took to buy the upgrade, earning you the spare 100 for juice... i ringout constantly, usually have a huge streak, and get lots of cash even after upgrading everything (even fly) to 3

I lul'd at the SF metaphor.
But seriously, I use the Charge for it's evasive and maneuverability capabilities more than offensive options and still come out on top with cash/juice. There's more than one way for the Assault to be CREDIT TO TEAM than by just ringing out fools.
Diff'rnt strokes for diff'rnt folks etc etc.

i see the assault a pro killer as he sucks at taking out bots......yes it can be done but very poorly compared to other classes and he shines out taking out other pros as hes very mobile and powerful, plus when you have juice, there's no pro's or turrets in there base after it.........unless they have 518465168642354 lazer blazers.....damn supports

With charge 2 you launch them in a line drive which is harder to recover from and launches tanks/gunners farther.

I personally think the Assault's *Grenade Launcher is one of the better weapons for taking out bots, simply because you can take out groups fairly quick. Not to mention it's grapple will kill most bots with one pull of the trigger.

I personally prefer level 2, it kills non custom AZAZNS and doesn't stop me when I charge bots to stop a potentially money ball dropping bot rush. I know hitting y+b works but damnit, when I'm in twitch mode I just don't think that quick (I must be getting old)

I Only ever Upgrade Assaults Charge to Level 2. I feel it is far more versitile and I believe there are better things that money could go towards...Other upgrades, Turrets, Bot Spawns, Ejectors, Annihilator or Juice

after DLC juice shall be fixed, i always try and get the annihilator if i have enough money, i target bots to get the money of course, and buzzers are only good against dumb camping snipers that don't notice the sound of them....

Something I meant to add was that you get the surprise factor with level 2 as well. If someone doesn't see me coming and I hit them with a level 2 charge they may not get knocked as high, but they have less time to react to it. Level 3 gives people a chance to be prepared to react to the knock back during the animation. So it takes more planning to knock out a tank with a level 2, but once he is of the edge he is off the edge. Level 3 can give him a chance to see where he needs to be aiming, charge and jump jet back on to land. Just for example.

I'm going more and more for level 3 only on support heavy teams. The animation and throw height combined with a gold skill recharge is still invaluable for keeping support juicers at bay.

    AND JUST OFF TOPIC:
    Don't underestimate buzzers....just....don't....

not. a hovering charge at level 3 deals about 1/15th damage to a non-armored gunner, and just barely enough to kill a slimbot, which cant be grappled anyways.
