SXD24's "Art"/.gif Thread

Feel free to steal this for a sig. The idea for it CAME from someone's sig, so I just figured I'd take it one step further.



If anyone would like a gif of any other part of the Ammo Mule/LazeRazor commercials, I can see what I can do.

If my scanner were working, I would post some of my drawn art, but as it is not, I shall leave art in quotation marks.

Dude, that's fantastic! I'd love the bit when the Support jumps over the Gunner's head in the Ammo Mule ad - just when it switches to slow motion.

Signature form

Making it into avatar form might be a bit difficult, as there is a maximum file size. Was only able to make mine a 7-frame gif that was 85x85, so... yeah. This one is around 26 frames, and it'd be a bit difficult to narrow it down to 7. :lol:

I don't know anything about .gifs but you couldn't just resize it or something? Like just take out Bullseye and...yea nvm I don't think it'll work. Thanks.

How about one of the Tanks face from the LaseRazor commercial when he notices pit Girl talking to the Assault. Like he sad faces.

By resizing it, I had to take it down all the way to 50x50.

Done. I call this one... "Hate Crime."

And gifs are, in its simplest form, images (frames, if you will) compiled one after another to create an animated image. Since it's basically like stacking one image after another, the file size tends to be bigger than most other image files.

The only way to reduce their file size is to remove frames, crop the image, and resize it. I did all three of these when trying to make that avatar, but it came out rather small even after I did that. Couldn't remove too many frames or it'd look choppy, and cropping would just take Bullseye out of the picture. Therefore, my last option was to resize it, and... yeah. 50x50. :lol:

Was the best I could do for that one, as you can tell by me cutting out some of the frames, but I like how it turned out.

When I rip frames from the videos the gifs come from, they come out just like that - the signature version. If anything, it was more time consuming to get the avatar version cuz of all the frame-cutting and resizing to get the right file size. I basically crop and resize FROM the signature version, so I figured I may as well put that one up, too.

And I'm okay, I guess. I recently found a much faster way to do all this, but it still requires some patience, since I basically have to keep on rendering the image until it's the right size and whatnot.

And no problem.

Finally fixed my scanner and got this up. A little sketch I worked on earlier today, and I'm thinking of actually inking and coloring this one.

Awww sh*t another talented artist emerges. That Airstrike bomb looks really good.
