I want to hear what kind of music you guys are into. I honestly love different genres of music, not so much rap or country. I love rock, and alternative. Also I am definitely intoTechno. Also try this. My all time favorite bands are Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Silversun Pickups, and MGMT. I love bands that are not afraid to take risks, just to please a crowd. Bands or musicians that do not drag on there chorus. I was big in choir my middle school years so i can appreciate how hard singing is, that is why i also have a deep passion for acoustic music. I'd love to hear what my fellow gamers listen too. Guessing hair metal, and some HEAVY METAL METALICA BLARRRR!
At the moment, I'm listening to The Beatles, the Scott Pilgrim soundtrack, Crystal Castles, Arcade Fire, Dragonette, Two Door Cinema Club...
Hmm...where to begin? Genre-wise, I suppose I'll listen to a bit of anything other than country(or southern rock depending on one's opinion on whether or not the two are the same thing). Some examples? Judas Priest: Painkiller Honestly, growing up I thought they did nothing but soft rock with what I heard on radio somehow not including any of the bona fide metal songs they made. (You Got Another Thing Coming is the most I've heard of them on the radio, unfortunately). Psychostick: BEER! You can't take all music seriously and by no means should. Tool: Lateralus HFS, man. Tool has made some truly amazing songs, Lateralus is arguably one of their best and if listening to the whole nine minutes of it for the first time doesn't seem like some kind of musical revelation...I feel sorry for you Deftones: Change(In the House of Flies) Deftones have this certain air about their music that I can't quite describe. Can't think of anything else to say on this example. Non-metal, why not? Cliff Martinez: First Sleep This song helped the Clooney/Soderberg remake of the 1970s Russian scifi flick Solaris be much more interesting. Hauntingly pleasant. Clint Mansell: Requiem for a Dream It's incredibly epic if you somehow haven't heard it or one of Mansell's other mixes of it. John Murphy: Don Abandons Alice You'll need to turn this one up, the volume on it is always pretty low for some reason. This is arguing the best version of that specific piece of music from 28 Days/28 Weeks Later, which itself is a heavily modified version of the "Sad Mafioso" movement from crazy defunkt Canadian indie band Godspeed You! Black Emperor's track East Hastings. If none of those names are familiar but somehow the music still rings a bell, yet another version of it was used in one scene in Kick-***(Big Daddy Kills). Lots of video games have great soundtracks, as well. Team Fortress 2: Drunken Pipe Bomb Duke Nukem 3D: Grabbag Devil May Cry 3: Devils Never Cry Virtua Fighter 2: Messenger of the Dark(Dural's theme) Tekken 6: Sacred Dark(Azazel's theme) Sonic CD: Tidal Tempest: present(Japanese/European versions) Armored Core 4: With Heat Command Conquer Tiberium Dawn: Industrial One And lastly, check the link in my sig. I'm not a big fan of that particular series, but oh do I love that particular song
Tickets were about 20, but HEALTH supported Nice small venue as well, and Alice was in the crowd with us for most of the gig
It seems that most people listen to the same thing, mostly metal, rock or some of that techno music. My taste is so drastically different. I guess I listen to disco, funk, nu-jazz and pretty much weird stuff. And I'm proud of it. Even my sig has some music.
I listen to a lot of music. The type of music I like the least would be Hip-Hop/Rap and Country. I love Metal, Rock, Techno, Classic Rock, Jazz, Blues, and lots of other stuff. My favorite bands right now would be: Empire of the Sun The Sleepy Jackson Radiohead
Favorite Artists in Order: 1. Daft Punk 2. Eminem 3. Steve Miller Band 4. Boston 5. E.L.O 6. Elton John 7. Simon & Garfunkel 8. Rolling Stones 9. U2 10. The Police 11. Fatboy Slim 12. Rage Against the Machine 13. The Doors 14. Queen 15. Royksopp And btw zoom, that Skee-Lo song is so sick.
I keep finding myself listening to really chill things this week with how stressful work and life in general seem to be(holidays make working amidst the general public soooooo much fun!) I'm barely motivated to even play vidja games, but some nice and mellow songs like these make it easier. These are on my playlist at the very moment I'm making this post Atticus Ross: Panoramic Cliff Martinez: First Sleep Gary Jules: Mad World(don't bother looking up the original version: it sucks) Sun Kill Moon: Heron Blue
