I played a couple games this morning and these people (I saw Tom in there) rushed out as an entire team of supports. Besides the constant rain of airstrikes, it was actually fun. Put my ice traps to good use But anyway, I had to leave for school by the time we started our second game (Full on Tank rush with the exception of one gunner). So the question is, which class would be the most beneficial to rush as? I've never seen an assault or sniper rush and an entire team of assassins is a .
My team played against a 5-support team once but since we kept them turtling in their base with the threat of turret annihilation, they couldn't spread out and we destroyed them. Single class teams are very dangerous if allowed to leave base. The all-Gunner team comes to mind. An all-Support team, however, can be very effective if they all have level 3 airstrike and all have their firebases out surrounding the enemy base, cutting off choke points. It's like having twice as many teammates on the field.
The things about single class teams is that it means that you're facing 6 people who are partied up, which means no matter what they're playing it's going to be tough fight. It also means that most of the team is likely playing a class they're not the best with. All assassin and all support teams seem to not do as good because they lack a certain firepower and they have less to go on as far as ranged attacks go. Other single class teams do fine, but I'm not sure it's ever actually better than everyone playing the class they're best at. It would definitely be interesting to see a single class team composed of people who all main that class.
we were just messing around, i wouldnt really say it is a good strategy, but i DO believe 2-3 supports with decent firebases can lock down some maps completely. we also timed our airstrikes together and threw 10-15 of them at once in random locations, that was fun.
Not true, earlier I played on an all support team, the next game we had all tanks, then AFTER those two games we partied up. So I don't believe that just because everyone picks the same class doesn't mean they are a party. Heck get an all-low level team you are likely to get an all assassin team.
all assault is a pain to counter if they are all good with it all gunner or tank can be countered by one or two good sniper all support is great because you have 3 fire bases on the left and right of the map making choke points hard to get through. one support on each side keeping them hacked and healed, one in the base keeping the base up, and 3 throwing air stirkes in the other teams base assassins work best in the shadows so when you have a whole team playing them the other team is looking for an assassin all the time so it ruins their chances of being stealthy all sniper is only good if you have competent snipers that work together
The couple times I've ran all support it's been a struggle (but we still won). Maybe it was because we only had one or two actually competent supports. I'm a terrible support, all I do is toss out airstrikes.
Last night, I actually happened to be in on a team of all Assualts (save for myself, an Assassin). It was so hectic! Firebases and Air Strikes everywhere! Plus, everything on our side was always overhealed out the wazoo. It was pretty boss. And while the other Pros were too busy trying to take out the Firebases, I'd stab them in the back~ Talk about Neenja heaven.
So, your team was all supports? Or was it the other team that was all supports? Your first sentence said your team was all assaults.
Playing against an all assassin team is hilarious, specially if you're a support player. You'll get so many shottys-in-the-face kills you won't stop laughing, plus in the many times you will die.. there will often be 2-3 assassins attacking you at the same time which is so ridiculously painful its funny... nothing like 3 assassins uncloaking on you at once.. lol...
