It seems post-patch (october.. 13th?) it is becoming increasingly, borderline impossible to be able to consistently get a game on MNC, I'm Australian, so I'm sure the lack of numbers on my side is a contributing factor, but I am always put in my own lobby hosting, and am never matched with anyone, and once a few people are found the game doesn't even being (past 6 players). I spoke to a few American players about it through Xbox live and they experience the same problem but on a smaller scale, which leads me to believe the larger numbers nullifying an underlining matchmaking issue. My question is, though, is this issue being addressed in the upcoming DLC, I really hope so, because I know myself and the aussie regulars I play with basically everyday are becoming feddup with it, a bee's willy off shafting the game to be frank. Would love some feedback or some confirmation. Cheers, Luke
might be on the user end. sounds like a problem with mw2 that i have fixed. does your "NAT", which is at the bottom right of the list of players in a crossfire lobby, say that its OPEN or MODERATE or STRICT. if its strict, thats the problem... and i can give advice here to fix it.
People with poor connections will often get stuck in their own lobby over and over again. I don't have a fantastic connection, but I literally never have had a problem finding a game.
Nah nothing NAT related, all open, UPnP is enabled, and as far as I am aware I have the fastest internet connection available in Australia at the moment, which would be dial up speeds compared to the rest of the world. Theres no doubt it's a location based problem as all my Australian friends experience it, but others around the world I have spoken with experiencing it also, different routers, connections and locations leads one to believe it is also a game based or matchmaking based problem.
That is weird, I live here stateside, NAT is OPEN, and I always find matches, sad thing is most of the time people don't have mic and when they do, they ask me if I am ready to lose (when they are ON MY TEAM) do people in this game take their rank level very serious to the point that they become a douchebag?
common problem....it annoys me but when you do find a good lobby it usually lasts for a while.....i wish AUS would hurry up with that broadband upgrade Its Pylo btw SHAP00PI haha
Yes.. SHIPOOPI and Pylo.. I have been stuck in lobbies with you guys more times than I would have liked haha. Bought this game at launch with a friend who has since stopped playing, who "might return" when the DLC comes out. Such a shame - when it doesn't take half an hour to find a match and when it isn't laggy as hell, it's one of the better games I've ever played.
never been a problem for me, but I do have an issue still with finding a game with friends. When we join a game, if it happens to go to lobbly first then it's fine and we get on same teams, but if it joins mid-game we always get split...frustrating but whatever
Yeah, not that your mates are bad Pylo, but playing against the same group day in day out is repetitive, we know how we all play, which is a double-edged sword, its no fun. Mutual, Iron Priest, it is very much mutual
yer this is to true, i can tell if a game is Aussie just by looking at the names now we have such a small community
Yeah its a shame, and 9 times out of 10 the people are partied in the same groups so the teams are predictable. The problem must have been something recently tweaked because I used to always get foreign games, but now it seems I can only play with a handful of people.. It's so frustrating I quite seriously spend more time in a lobby than actually playing now, getting to the point where I no longer want to play.
yer i spend a lot of time in a lobby waiting and then just give up because i know its not finding them....guess its the price we pay for living in AUS though...
Yo ppl yeah its gotta be a matchmaking thing me and shipoopi play all sorts of games and the problem Is really only on MNC, i love the game but the matchmaking is painfully slow. Sitting in lobbies for hours kinda painful. Do we know if its being fixed yet?
I'm getting very frustrated from having the exact same problem. I recognise a few of you in here, being the regular people I come across when I finally manage to find a match. It's only ever been like this since the title update as well. Before then I rarely had any problem finding matches, and even when I did, it never took too long for a lobby to fill up. I was regularly finding myself playing against people from the States, but it's only a small clan of locals now. I know we in Australia constantly suffer from our plague of slow internet, but when this didn't seem to cause problems prior to the update, I can only assume something was changed and is now working against our favour. I really hope it's sorted out with the upcoming DLC, because I do love this game when I find a good match. WHY WON'T IT LOVE ME BACK!? *Breaks down sobbing*
Yeah some days, I can only create a lobby that nobody else will get in to, and other days I can get one in so I can't quit it or I'll never get back in. It doesn't even lag at all. Last week I actually got a round of blitz though with a random + guest. Even though they went assassin and sniper for Scramble it was pretty fun.
