Snipers, take aspects out of the game?

Uhm, I respectfully dissagree, IMO Penetrating is not about Doubl headshots its about being able to use bots for protetion, And explosive ammo? That gets TONS of kills, I agree with you about Flak. The Grapple Is Outstanding it will get Ring Outs, Finish oppononents off or throw them far away to give a sniper space. And I agree with traps

Actually, on Ammo Mule I've seen snipers hanging just barely off the ledge of their second floor of their base, either the left or the right, just behind where the safety glass ends, but with their rifle able to shoot just to the right or left of that, giving them full access to the entire lane.

But Uber said they were adding bridge supports to protect some of the turrets on Ammo Mule, so I guess we'll have to see how that plays out after the update... :?

Doing above can let you kill some rocket turrents since they are sooo tall.

It seems to me that this thread is much ado about Sniper's range advantage. If you want to push your bots but there's an enemy Sniper at the end of your lane, don't be surprised when your bots explode and your life bar starts turning red. You may not like that he can hit you from the other end of the arena much more easily than you can hit him, but that's what he does. That's what this seems to be about. Sniper takes no aspects out of the game but adds another dimension in that now you can't just run around in the open willy-nilly. You can't push bots by yourself without somebody providing offensive or defensive cover of some sort.

And, for the record, Snipers can push bots from the back of their lanes only as far as the turrets which are obscured from their line of sight. Keep those turrets hacked and upgraded, and Sniper's ranged effectiveness hits a brick wall until somebody takes out those 3.3 turrets.

The level 3 passive for a sniper is as big an increase as the level 3 passive for the gunner. You can with minimal effort escort your bots from the safety of your base. No other class can compete with an upgraded sniper clearing lanes on steel peel or ammo mule.

I invite you to try playing a sniper on these maps. Shoot at bots and turrets to get your upgrades. Hold juice and waste anyone that poses a threat with the smg. The juice gain is supposed to be nerfed but we will have to wait and see if it goes far enough.

The quote was taken out of contect for a reason, it is very reasonable as the quote stood for that one category in the movie.. not the debate.
