This seems to be a conflict currently. I would like to see how you all feel.

Oh, nice part 2 question. I like where these are going.

LOL at the options. You're basically telling people what to pick.

    1. Fun awesome amusement park ride tournament with free candy!
    2. Old Mean hardcore tournament for teams that are non existent and need to form!

The first tournament was random, and the second one was with set teams. Both were loads of fun, but I liked being able to choose who I was playing with. I chose the 2nd option.

He is referring to the leading nature of the choices. Psych 101.

I am leading the questions to favor the mindsets. Personally, I am a fan of the 2nd option :)

I would very much enjoy participating in either, however if I had to pick I would prefer the competitive "hardcore" type of tournament.

But what about the 100's of people that would love to join but can't get a team together? That's the whole reason I suggested that option.

I wasn't saying you did it intentionally, but as the choices are currently constructed, Deadeye is completely correct in how they come off. Choice 1 automatically sounds more appealing simply based on the wording.

Even with the questions phrased as they are, there's no contest to me. I'd want specifically formed teams. I can have random anytime. I want to participate in the game pushed to its greatest depth. That means I want both teams to be experienced enough to really know what they're doing. Furthermore, a team that knows each other well knows how to communicate effectively, and I cannot understate the importance of effective communication. Tournaments are competitive by nature, and I want them to truly reflect what competition can do for the game. The casual gamers will still have fun with their random matches.

I would actually like both options. Weekdays for the fun filled, weekends for the team play. My vote here was fun filled in case only one happens. The question was well worded; I got the mindset inference.

Is there any way to do hard core with no teams? I'd sign on as a support if you can throw me into a team that's not into the candy and coasters.

But what happens for the dedicated players that would love to join in a tournament but can't get a team together. We are **** out of luck?

Part of dedication means that you'll still work on getting a team together, even if it's not an ideal one. I suppose to an extent, yes can be out of luck. Every team only has so much room, so a group over 6 players will need to cut somewhere. However, I bet all those cut players can still come together to make teams of their own.

Yet even if the first one seems like I worded it to be the more "fun" choice, we are split 50/50 right now.

Stop being a lazy *** and form a team. It's really not that difficult.. I have a team of 5 that's never played together but is signed up for the CG tournie, and that's not even counting the 3-5 kids that play with me on a regular basis that would team with me in an instant.

Step 1. Decide to make a team
Step 2. Get players for the team
Step 3. Play with your new team

How is that hard? You don't have to be hard ******* core to get a team, you just have to do it.

Dead Stretch, do you have friends who play? Add some people from the forums if you don't know anyone. Make a recruiting thread like the hundreds in this forum.
On topic, a random draft tournament is more of a "private match tournament". I wouldn't be opposed to it, but it definitely wouldn't be as competitive as a full-blown team tournament.

I do have friends who own the game but shy away from tournaments simply due to the competitive nature of it. Also I have made the 'UberEntFriends' gamertag in an effort to get some community players to play together. Making teams is hard when more than half the players already have their "set" players they play with. Not to mention when you announce a tournament each player already has in mid who their team will consist of.

It's not as easy as people make it out to be. A lot of the players who make a thread requesting for players who play said game only come to the forums for just that. I don't really like the idea of teaming up with players who barely play the game.

Just an honest thought from a honest man.
