Hows about that new dashboard update?

A lot of it looks like they tried to copy Apple. And the voice chat sounds like they took it from Halo 2.

Pros:
-ESPN
-Netflix Seaching

Cons:
-It is ugly.
-They moved "Quick Launch" for some reason. Its not quick anymore.
-It is way too bright.
-Party chat sounds awful.
-The sound effects are worse.
-ESPN was added the day that this year's baseball season ended.

I seriously have a headache from this dashboard right now.

Naw man it's cool. We still have Football and Soccer to watch.

They have Judo matches. I am happy with that alone.

Probably unrelated, but a good friend of mine had his gamerscore reset and zone set to cheater.
But he hasn't done anything wrong. He's spend hundreds, maybe even thousands of hours getting his gamerscore up. Not to mention a **** load of money renting games.

WTF? We in the UK obviously dont get the ESPN addition. A bit lame seen as ESPN is readily available in the UK, and I pay 10 a month to get it on my TV, so getting it through the xbox woulda been a nice little feature.

I guess the deal is different in other countries, and even other states. Not sure what the specifics are, though.

What's his gamertag? I thought the lemon gamerpics were pretty awesome, I'd love to see a Cheater zone gamertag

not a biggie anyway. gamerscore means nothing, wish people knew that.

name one thing you can do with a high gamerscore that you couldnt without.

name one thing you can do at a 10th prestige that the game somehow barred you from doing before.

but are you sure he didnt do anything? its easier than heck to do, you may have never noticed it.

and finally, has he considered talking to microsoft? because they will ignore him to some degree, until he gets proof, and then perhaps threatens them with a legal battle. just wondering.

Out of curiosity... what exactly do some of you wrong with the voice chat? I think it sounds alot better and of higher quality. Maybe you guys just didn't like hearing everyone's voice as it really sounded (with all the bass and high end removed)? also.. I previewed a voice message I was sending to someone else and was pleased to hear it sounded less muffled/muddy.. I have a semi-baritone voice and it always sounded like crap before.

NOrmal voice chat is fine in-game etc. It's party chat that is screwed... I was in my first private chat since the update last night, and holy hell! It is messed up! It sounds all tinny and robotic, like we're in a small tunnel or something.....

maybe microsoft is so advanced, their voice chat reproduces your voice better than your ears can normally hear voice. thats the way your voice always sounds, and its so high tech that it surpasses your natural ear's ability to process it.

thats what they would like you to believe. kind of like those "hi-def glasses" saying that the glasses pick up the visual spectrum better than your eyes can. ...how do the glasses see more than what your normal eyesight can see, when your eyes are whats seeing the picture in your glasses?

at least i dont believe there is any way that glasses can make your eyes see more colors than they can already pick up, when your eyes are whats seeing the picture in the glasses. thats like saying a television is better because it displays more color than your eyes can register, then how can your eyes tell its better?

its claiming to see a definition and color your eyes cant see, but if that were true then your eyes couldnt see the definition and color produced by the glasses.

comparing audio quality to hoax "hi-def" glasses is a bit insane..wether or not live's voice has improved in someone's opinion..

It was a simple case of talking in a blur lobby normally, to someone I talk to several nights a week, and then going into a private chat with said same person and hearing the massive difference in SQ.... I dunno, maybe he put on some funky 3-D glasses out of a cereal box and it changed his voice drastically :lol:

Those things work. You talking about Blue Blockers? My dad bought me a pair. Tinted yellow and they somehow make your range of vision longer, they make you want a PBR and they make Pontiacs look attractive.

Also how is there not a connection between this and audio? MS has retina audio, deal with it.

Maybe it's the echo from the future coming from the azn's right eye. or was it left?
