So I am thinking of buying this game, I played the trial and I liked it.

But in a season with Black Ops coming, and Reach already here, the multiplayer field is very crowded.

Does Monday Night Combat give a different experience to the user? is it very customizable ?and that sort of thing

    Thank you

Monday Night Combat is one of the most unique shooters I have ever played. Its use of skills, money, juice and turrets makes for a game that has a quite different gameplay style than any other shooter I've played. If you ever felt shooters got boring since all you do is run around and shoot, this game will not disappoint. If you want an deep multiplayer system to play with friends, this is certainly worth a look at. Fortunately, there is a demo of this game. The customization is certainly less than the Call of Duty series' create-a-class system so far... but I'd say it's proving to be more balanced. Time will tell how Black Ops' balance will end up being.

Yea, what he said. For $15 you can't go wrong. Being an XBLA title it has a surprisingly big community, so you'll always find games.

-6 Custom Class slots with which to change Class and Endorsement loadouts.
    -Plethora of Protags to unlock.
-DLC is adding in Club Tags, All-Star Mode (Prestige) and some much needed Private Match options.

That's about it as far as customization and such. For me one of the BIGGEST selling points to MNC was that it features both offline and online multiplayer splitscreen. And yes, MNC has a much different gameplay experience than Halo/CoD.

Halo Reach overall is a steaming dungpile, avoid that ****. If you are one of those people that has friends come over for splitscreen shenanigans, Black Ops will definately be a must buy.

And if you do buy it and the first game you play you are getting spawn camped by Im Hudson, BoltAktion, SHOW YOUR HEART, and I3illy Rueben, don't worry. That's just how we say hello and welcome to the game.

Depends on the person. Of course everyone will complain when they're being spawn camped, but few (if any) will complain when they're spawn camping.

Half of the community thinks it's unsportsmanlike the Other half thinks it's a user-error. I.E you let yourself get spawn-killed. I guess you can say, spawn killing, it just like every other shooter.

The real issue is how easy it is to spawn camp. It is far too easy for a team to spawn camp a pub. However, as it stands, you still can quit out and join another game. I whole-heartedly recommend buying this game.

no, it's easy for good players to be a douche and spawn camp bad players.

But stop thinking and buy it

As of now, I got no job and no money for extra stuff, how can one tell the wife they are going to spend more money on video games when they got no jobs lol.

I will buy this game once I get a job again, good thing my LIVE is good until April.

just remember this game will still be good, if not better ;) , in a few months or even a year.

The game is only $15. If it were $60, I still buy it knowing what I know now. Great game, good break from the doldrums of the over saturated shooter market we have today. Can be frustrating when your trying to learn the ropes vs a veteran group or team. But once you get the hang of it, it's loads of fun. The key thing is, find people to play with. It really is a team game, solo heroes will not get very far imo.

My biggest problem is this game is rather offensive for a tower-defense game. Once one side starts to dominate, it is nearly impossible to get them away. This is known as both "slippery slope" and "positive feedback." It is to such an extreme that the game is easily over before the official declaration. It seriously makes me wish there was a way to simply surrender. Such behavior is certainly acceptable in Chess; it is even expected in Go. However, doing so would run counter to the philosophy of MNC, that being to simulate the environment of professional sports. There's bound to be some exceptions to the rule somewhere, but my understanding is that professional sports teams simply are not able to concede in the middle of a game. After all, the sponsors demand their air time.
Keep that in mind when you buy this game. It is the overall flavor of the game that has me still tolerating this element of its design. I prefer "perpetual comeback," aka "negative feedback."

    Organous,

Your experience might be very different than someone else's. There have been plenty of games that the losing team has come back and won and it comes down to play style, team makeup, Overtime, etc. Although we have tower-defense elements, MNC is by no means a typical tower defense game.

Anecdotal evidence makes little difference with me. I admit it is always possible, which is why I tend to play through even the most hopeless battles. I've pulled off some marvelous "hail mary" plays in other games and managed some very surprising comebacks in this one. The principle is still sound. Can you honestly say that when you have all 6 members of your team in the enemy base and managed to kill all opponents into their spawn zone that you don't have a tremendous, practically game-winning advantage? This of course is reinforced the more closed a base is.

One of the things that I think sets this apart from other shooters is the class balancing aspect. In games like Call of Duty, it's simply a matter of who sees who first; 95% of the time the one who saw the other first gets the kill. Here, one class may have a disadvantage against another. In such a case, it becomes much more strategic and team oriented.

This game also has a central goal, which is to eliminate the other team's moneyball. This essentially eliminates the boring (in my opinion) aspect of "Look person! ...Dead. Repeat." Your goal is not merely to kill people; it is to kill bots and get your team to the moneyball as well.

On top of the gaming aspects, MNC is also fully supported by Uber and is constantly being updated and fixed. It is this interactive aspect that allows the game to thrive even more.

This game promises an incredible amount of entertainment that I honestly have not found in any other game. This is now and will probably remain the best $15 I have ever spent.

    This.

It is NOT hard to find a team/group for recreational play, and your enjoyment and skill will increase 10 fold by talking/playing with others.

    Totally worth the $15.
