There's a big design theory about the rewards you give skilled players. Skilled players should get rewarded for their play, however they should not get rewarded so that it makes it easier to continue to play at or above the same level indefinitely. The no cool down on the juice machines broke this design theory and it's a theory I believe in.

Alright, this is rationale that I both understand and am fine with. I can't say I agree with it until I've seen how it works and have played it myself, but as I've said, I can't imagine it being a huge deal either way.

Love these changes thus far, can't wait for the other stuff coming later this week.

I think it will be a fine balance. I was starting to get frustrated with whole juiced up teams coming into my base and destroying it, and once the money ball was down proceeded to spawn camp my team with juice and not even concentrate on the money ball. Yes, every once and awhile I can grapple or ring them out with a charge, but its really hard to stop a whole team in opinion. Especially since I play alone most of the time.

I'm even guilty of juice chaining, I'm not fond of it, but if everyone is going to do it to me I'm going to try and fight back.

Personally I wish the juice vendors weren't in the game. Juice should be looked at as a reward for killing bots, stringing kills together or just staying alive long enough to earn juice. Not just "Here is $500."

Plus we don't even know how long the cool down on the juice vendor will be. It might go from 0.1 to 0.30 seconds, or it might 1 or even 2 minutes. Only the devs know right now we will have to wait and see.

the problem is that current juice-earning rates arent really fair. a sniper can sit back and get juice from the safety of the spawn ring by shooting bots, where the tank jetgunning bots in the middle of the map has to be in the middle of it all, and the sniper STILL makes juice quicker.

    This.

Plus Tanks while deployed gain juice from damage taken and can pick up juice boxes that drop off of bots.

The sniper's juice rate will be fixed in the DLC though, so it shouldn't be as big as a problem. I'm glad this is happened, same with the supports juice rates. I understand why the tank juice rate is so low, because when he gets juice he can wipe a whole base and death blossom anything that gets in his way. Where as a juiced sniper can't really take out turrets much faster juiced. He is more of a killing machine with his SMG. I hope they also reduce the assassins juice rate. As she gets juice way fast and is also a base destroyer.

EDIT: Damn I'm slow at posting, everyone says it before I do, lol.

    Oh no.

    Oh no no no.

A week of slowly teased-out details? A week of constantly F5-ing the blog? At least I'm on a reading week.

Also, the little references to the dystopian future that MNC takes place in are going to result in me writing some terrible fan-fic. You have been warned.

Honestly I am hoping to see the juice changes being made to the ball also get made to turrets. Even with the changes mentioned so far it's still pointless to put much money towards turrets as they are too easy to juice and take down. It should take a concentrated team effort to wipe out turrets....not one assassin with juice taking down 4 at a time.

So yes....turrets need more armor and less juice damage to them.

    Re: Halloween Unmasking Discussion

I understand why people think this way, but as a older player my reflexes are a bit slower so I'm necessarily less skilled this sort of thing just makes it where I just don't want to play. If when I'm playing I just get curb stomped one game after another by juiced teams I find something else to do. I know that I haven't logged into MNC all week. I didn't delete it off my hard drive like I did with that blacklight tango down trash but i found myself playing other games.

I'm happy about free DLC and I'd be willing to purchase additional DLC later provide that I feel I can play the game where if i cant be skill matched I can at least no be matched with premade parties.

I wouldn't say they need more armor overall, but for juice to do less damage to turrets would be great so the turrets can atleast put some hurting on the juice player.

I'm confused, this change actually makes it so other teams can't constantly juice.

This is also a list of coming changes, they aren't in the game yet.

Now I personally think you are changing the game to much. Your making it better for nubs & those who complain about every little thing. Say if I made another account on a different computer & just said uhmm.. like something about a few classes when I was getting owned (which wont ever happen) id complain & have them change it. You guys are listening to much now I believe. You need to leave it where its at. Cause now I believe a lot of classes are underpowered now. Its actually quite sad, & makes many people not wanna play. I can name of few right off the top of my head but I will not say any due to personal reasons. That is just my opinion on it all. So hope you guys fix this cause I dont think ill on as much just by you doing this bad updates. :/

What does this mean exactly? Is this a buff to the lunge itself or some sort of multiplier for the next attack?

The Assassin's lunge ends with a swipe. That swipe does damage. The damage of that swipe was increased.

Can you tell us how much each Rock-it costs now?

When you made some of the weapons do less damage to the moneyball I thought you would make the grenade launcher do less. Cause I can just stand on a bridge at Grenade III and bounce them into their base. Or does it already do little enough.

I think it already does little enough damage already.

    Re: Halloween Unmasking Discussion

All of these changes make sense and I think the juice nerf will change the game quite a bit and give more inexperienced teams a chance. This update already seems much more promising than the last. I can't wait to see what else they unravel out the rest of the week.

If you do forget Uber is a small team and their play testing can not compare to 200k+ people man hours. It's a great thing they listen to the community and then do more testing for imbalances that people complain about and then make their own decisions. I think it's a good idea for them to play online with us and just to see how people play which i've seen them do.
