Recommend me a singleplayer shooter

C&C Renegade.

Still a community with about 200+ players.

Human Revolution makes for an excellent stealth game, but got the dreaded cover-system and a VERY, VERY slow health regeneration.

What's your definition of "Shooter". Do you limit the term to polygon games, or do sidescrolling shooters(IE Contra) apply?

Game is old and so is its AI. Still a good game, just be prepared to get angry because the guards have xray vision and ****.

He's right, don't play Conviction. Takes the whole stealth thing out and turns it into "press X to win" thing

Play the game first without mods. Also, be aware the game can bug the **** out.

Fun until you get further in the game. Then it turns into "holy **** why am I doing this to myself"

Play this on Realistic mode. Trust me, its far better than playing Hard and watching enemies take headshots like a motherfucker. I don't know why the cover system gets so much flak when you did the same thing in the original game and could get the HP regen augment, but regardless. Both games are fantastic.

I suggested a top-down shooter before and he wasn't interested, so I imagine he just wants FPSs. Or over-the-shoulder TPS, I guess.

Ignoring what he actually asked for to talk about random stuff you like doesn't seem particularly helpful. Especially since you suggested Raven Shield when it's already been suggested and rejected.

I don't think he needs any more suggestions. He probably would've said something.

I will look that guy up, C&C Renegade has been dying, would be nice to play with someone, everyone else left that game years ago and I am lonely.

If there's a torrent link for it I'd try it.

General consensus: No one likes buying a game they have no option to try out first. I think Renegade came with a demo at some point.
