Just something I started thinking about today as I played a few rounds.... What if we had an added 'team taunt' for assist kills? Something along the lines of a high-five done by the team members close enough to each other (who are responsible for the kill) and done in good time both get greater bonuses and juice increases than when taunting alone? I know it sounds a bit quirky but it also seems that it would fit nicely in a game of this nature. Let me know what you think...
That would be neat, but it would probably be clumsy for both members to taunt at the same time. Plus you'd be too busy fighting you wouldn't have time to taunt.
Would be pretty impossible to incorporate into MNC, but I could actually see this working in a multiplayer game. The way I see it working, one person hold the taunt button which causes the character to stop in one spot and assume the beginning of a taunt position. For example, maybe standing with one arm in the air waiting for a high-five. Then a second player could see this, go up to them and hit the taunt button, which would then trigger the two person taunt animation.
Actually it doesn't even have to be an actual high-five...perhaps other things... perhaps make various levels of team taunts/animations (each with more difficulty/rewards if players happen to pull them off). Starting with something like both characters doing things with their weapons...maybe firing off a special pattern that can be seen in 'spectacle fashion as a kind of easier team taunt; with perhaps the more difficult taunts being a physical connect between the two players. I just thought it might add another interesting component to a game that's already pretty deep with things to do. Ofcourse players would still have to take into account the risks involved and taunt accordingly/wisely
I can imagine taunt animations like assults and tanks dashing toward each other for that 'high-five' or maybe an assassin does a flip over the head of a support guy while he shows off in some way... you can imagine where things like that could go.
*imagines someone leaving me hanging while an assassin approaches from behind* This probably couldn't be implemented in MNC, but it would be kinda cool. I would just have it happen automatically, but in such a way so that it wouldn't stop the action. But that wouldn't work well either.
idk, if its too complicated to add cooperative taunts (like the designers would have to make a whole new system entirely). but when someone gets an assist, could they at least taunt to get $25? lol, would make assists at least good for something. even better if the assistant and the killer got double money for taunting at the same time (nothing new, just their own taunt wherever they are, or within a certain 5meter diameter of each other). that would profit both but would require both being able to taunt without dying or forgetting, for either to get the larger sum.
If two Assassins team-taunt, they should totally unmask and make out. Just saying. That, or jazz hands.
