Came out around 2:30ish am pacific time. Not many people playing the new version but me and my friends updated right away and had a blast I made a video of our first game but it was so laggy the opposite team looked like whack-a-mole puppets. I've heard Assassin is the class that got changed the most and a bunch of other crap people made up. ? First of all, the grapple dishes out $50 bucks now . Ring outs do $125. You can't cloak while grappling, but turrets still desist from shooting you when you are cloaked, I don't know why people said they wouldn't. But the best part of all, is that you @ssholes who can't tell the difference between the dash plus the speed boost from bots and kills, versus the speed glitch... will no longer have an excuse to claim otherwise when you lose horribly. In addition, there is no more Money Ball shooting noobs who want to cheat a victory and tanks can't abuse the Death Blossum (but it's still deadly to assassins) (/--)/. Has everyone noticed any other changes besides the ones mentioned? Thank god for this update. And god bless Uber for finally releasing it.
The full list is here. Hit detection seems to have improved (less lag?). I noticed a few cosmetic additions, like the "YOU WIN!" graphic at the end of a match. To Uber's credit, the initial build of this update was completed within two weeks of MNC's release (it was even playable at PAX). They've been on the ball fixing problems and asking the community for feedback. Uber cares about its customers. The first title update was submitted over a month ago. It's taken Microsoft this long to certify it.
Without updating you cannot play the game over live. That's with any update on the Xbox game and/or dashboard.
I imagine there is a large percentage of people who haven't updated yet, so there would be a lack of players compared to normal... I haven't updated yet, I won't get it til I jump on later tonight.
They also fixed the Assassins ability to not take fall damage when weapon is upgraded. Great, cuz it's the reason a lot of us were being discovered as damage lights up your cloak.
Has anyone noticed health being infinite while juiced? You take damage, and then it regenerates to full.
I noticed this earlier. I was playing on Lazor Razor and an enemy support came into our base and juiced up. He then proceeded to start hacking our rockit turret. So me and a teammate start shooting him. We got his health down to around half and then it just went right back up to 100% while we were still shooting him. I was like WTF? and got really pissed off.
