Tried to tweet this, but FINALLY someone gets it!!

Very nice.

It's something I've tried to explain to my buddies who read about MNC, and then say, "Another team FPS. I get it."

Having only gotten a chance to play a few games at PAX before the booth got swarmed by the sweating masses (ok, I was a little sweating, too), I got on board the general concept pretty quickly: Run, Shoot. But I couldn't help but feel there was something much bigger and much deeper I was missing, just under the surface.

Anyway, I think Tycho hit on it. While MNC is technically billed as a shooter, I think the depth of the gameplay is going to bring many more people to the table, than expect. At least, that's what I hope.

I've been pretty impressed with how quickly people can pick up the game. Sure the team strategic elements are going to take some time but it's damn fun just to shoot stuff. The classes all feel very different as well which I think really adds to the long term play value.

Been trying to come up with a good name for this genre Jerry is describing. Most of the names that have been thrown out absolutely suck.

something along the lines of 3rd person team tactical strategy?

I think it will just be called MNC type games or Action Strategic Shooter.

I can see it now:

"Uber Entertainment brings you a sequel to MONDAY NIGHT COMBAT! For those who missed it, MNC is an Action Strategic Shooter, or *** game..."

I think Sm1tty found a tiny flaw in your otherwise beautiful plan Eka...

MNC type games would be perfect though. That would mean you would have to make a MNC II too with lots of new content!

We could call it a Tactics Inclined Team Shooter.

Only a small group of people would find it the slightest amusing.
Those would be the people who spent way too much time studying WWII history, and fell to the dark side.

I don't think the history of WWII would be funny no matter which side you are on.

Although I don't know much about history, I know that all WWII movies I have seen are not comedies.

I don't think we've ever said anything that we had either agreed or disagreed on!

Well, possibly the whole "MLG" thing. But I can't think of anything else!
