I just decided to reinstall this game after a very very long time to change it up from SMNC and....there is seriously only 12 players in the game? WHAT THE ****????????
I had no idea it was like this, that's why. I haven't played it since like near it's release, really...I fear this is going to happen to SMNC.
From my experience in about 60 games of SMNC, this is the exact destination of that game. I played a ton of MNC and watched the new players being run off at quite a rate. If anything the new game is less likely to keep going long term because of the imbalance between new and veterans and the mixing of the two by the matchmaking. MNC was a blast when you could hop in play some quality games without stacked teams. Having to provide 9 people to get a decently balanced is kind of a pain. Shame.
There were two types of games in classic MNC: 1. You stomp all over a bunch of people who had just bought the game 2. The same happens with your team
The lack of segregating the community to allow new players to learn against other new players led to the above 2 types of games. Which seems to be exactly replicated in the new, different version.
Uber listens his community. They did it too late for MNC. Uber is doing it great but they have to do more marketing about SMNC if they want more people on the game.
