The story Think about it. You're playing on a map. The sky is red. The moon is green. You sitting with the assualt and sniper bragging about how you just completely dominated the other team while the tank and gunner are in the corner, arguing about who is stronger and each lifting two more weights than the last guy did. The assasin is painting her nails, each a different shade of the same color than the last while sharpening shuriken. And the support is just chillin out playin new super mario bros wii. Then you all here moaning outside and here the announcer (In a MUCH deeper and spookier voice) Scream into the mic "It's time to take things into over time!!!! Mwhahahaha!" You walk outside the spawn and notice on the scoreboard that the gametype has been changed from crossfire to Infexction(yes the x is on purpose). You also see three pitgirls. One a werewolf, one a vampire, and one a mummy. They are doing the monster dance. The Gamemode One team will spawn with the color green and their team name is "Fundead". The goal is team hotshots or icemen have to survive a long period of time. The time period must be longer than the previous teams best. You'll first start out round one. One team is randomly chosen to be the zombies, the others are the not-zombies. The not-zombies have all their tools at thier disposal. Gunz, Sk1llz, Dialogue. The zombies have no weapons except for claws and jaws. They move at the same speed of what class they are. It pretty much plays out in the same way as crossfire. Tank zombies are slow but have lots of health. Assasin zombies are just the opposite. There are no turrets. No money ball. Just you and your team trying to survive. Now the zombies have a little tool at their disposal. 35% chance to infect someone with each claw swipe or brain bite. Pros will automatically be infected if they dont have enough health to survive an attack. The teams will just keep alternating back and forth at the end of each ound. The game is over when one team fails to beat the others previous best. This mode will also come with new protags. So what do you all think?
Way, way too difficult for the zombies. Unless you all created custom Tank classes with Gold Speed, Silver Armour and Bronze Health Recovery.
Give zombies some sort of weapon instead of claws. Like an assassin dagger. Remove their ability to jump, and they can spawn bots. It still won't be a fair fight. But it never is for zombies.
Well duh. I mean more as in how are the different game play wise? They are both mindless automatons out to kill.
Zombies chase you down and eat your brains. Bots, in this case, are programed to go to the moneyball and if there is anything in the way they just stand there and shoot.
Bouncers, buzzers, gremlins all target pros first. Especially since bouncers and gremlins have melee attacks, what is the different between those and zombies out side of one being a robot and one being an undead abomination against the Lord our God.
Which is kind of my point as well. We already have a mode of wave after wave of mindless enemies to kill. Who cares if they are zombies or they are robots?
I like the idea, minus the 35% chance to instantly infect someone prior to getting gang raped to 0 HP, adding a die roll mechanic to an FPS is usually never a good idea.
