"Lieing" and "dieing" are the ones that kills me the most.

"Lying" and "dying" are the correct spellings.

"suttle" and "prolly" are two more that bug me.

cool story, we should care why? its the itrenent nbdoy ndees to konw how to selpl

see what i did there? it doesnt matter if the word is jumbled up, as long as the first and second letter is in place. this is because our mind reads the entire word not single letters.

Agreed. Not that I'm one to be talking in a topic like this.

But does bad grammar really prove anything to anyone ? Because even if the word is mis spelled more often then not everyone knows what you mean. For example. Many ppl mis spell the word wEIrd as wIErd. But regardless of how it is spelled you know exactly what the word is :p

Just another form of 1-up manship. As long as people understand what your trying to say then there is no major issue.

Allthough when i see people spell things phoneticly, like wunce isntead of once it usualy makes me instatly assume they are under 13

On a forum, you communicate by text. Therefore, people will be more likely to read what you type if it's legible. Seriously though, get a browser with a built-in spell-checker, like Google Chrome.

Spelling is one thing but what about the rest of the written English language? I will admit I didn't really pay attention during English class so my grammar and overall knowledge of it is horrible.

There's a game a few of my friends play where it asks you for word types then it makes a funny story. So this is how it goes when I try to play:

    "Quick give me a verb."
    "What's a verb?"
    "An action word like Run."

Go ahead an laugh but at least I can admit I don't know what I am talking about and that everyone was right when they said what you learn in school matter in the real world. Little did I know it would become a huge deal on internet boards. I used to be horrible and getting trolled by grammar police made me try to learn more.
