What is glitching?

Apparently some people here say im a glitcher because i rapidly press the a button to fly

how is this any different from gunners and tanks flying from wall to wall or assaults etc flying back from grapples?

Its no different then assassins grenade jumping

A glitch to me is something wrong with the game like people sniping through glass walls or hacking turrents though walls

Or overhealing jackbot XLS

What Ive done is learned that the refresh rate of the jetpack can be slowed by pressing the jump button... and using dash while in the air moves you faster

How to go up is from detonating a bomb while flying

People have been grenade jumping since the game came out

Monday Night Combat's developers clearly WANTED people to be walking on air 200 feet above everybody else. That's not a glitch. No. Just like the speed glitch isn't really a glitch either, or hacking a turret through a wall.

Most people use this new thing called "common sense" to tell them what a glitch is. You want to detonate a bomb and fling yourself across the level? Fine, the physics in this game allow you to do that. You want to hang out WAY above the map and fire grenades straight down into a base? Well, why did the creators even put walls up in the level to begin with? Duh.

Feedle, you don't seem particularly bright. First, in another thread, you complain about level 99s and level an accusation that those of us that are level 99 probably didn't get there without cheating, boosting or glitching.

Then, you go ahead and find out how to walk at the top of or above the map, which is obviously not an area where you should be, and you think that's NOT somehow being a big, fat, honkin' glitcher.

The sad thing is you're so bad at the game that even being up that high did you no good because you couldn't actually get any kills from up there. I reported you, btw, for a map exploit.

Billy Reuben had it right...common sense should let you know that what you're doing is not right, even though you're able to do it. It's truly unfortunate that some folks don't have a thimbleful of common sense to inform them how to play a game fair and square and to be legit, but that's just the way it is...sometimes people are pooped out into the world and lack that little spark that makes them reasonable and fair.

Especially the last part, seem to see this more often as of late.

Assassins double jumping with the bomb is cheating. Flying super high in any form is an exploit.

Putting your back to a wall while you taunt, reload or heal is smart (in the same way that not getting close to people before you try to back grapple them is smart).

Inflating the jackbot's health to 2X or 3X from X is an exploit. You're only supposed to be able to heal it up to X health.

Question: How do you really know if it is a glitch or not?
Answer: If you think it should not happen then it most probably is a glitch.

Question: So what do I do about this?
Answer: Well, you certinally DO NOT moan about the glitch on the games forum, and then later on admit you are doing it yourself.

Question: Why?
Answer: Because this makes you look a fool, and lose respect of the other members, you lose credability.
