This is not a place to discuss specific people you want on your team. This is a thread to discuss what distribution of pros you like on your team. (Assume that the person playing each role is proficient at that role) My ideal team class distribution: - Support - Support - Gunner - Gunner or Tank - Assassin or Sniper - Sniper or Assault If you got to choose the class of pros on your team. What would it be?
on of each I would say, some of my best matches have been when my team represented every pro. honestly though, for the most part it matters a lot more who's playing than what they're playing as, but for the sake of keeping with your topic I say one of each.
I was thinking the same idea, just never posted as haha. Great minds think alike I'd have to choose... 1. Support 2. Support 3. Sniper 4. Gunner 5. Gunner 6. Assault
I would have: 1. Support 2. Support 3. Support 4. Assassin 5. Gunner 6. Tank or Gunner -Two of the supports would play defensive and build/hack turrets and plant firebases which would defend the area leading into their moneyball. They would also heal bots and pro's coming out of spawn. The third support would be attacking and would hack enemy turrets and occasionally heal pro's and bots and would attack enemy bots and pro's etc. -The assassin would be attacking and would grapple any unlucky pro's that come her way. -The gunner would also be attacking and would destroy enemy turrets and bots and any pro's he comes across The final tank/gunner would be a mix of attacking and defensive and would help buy turrets and spawn bots and kill enemy pros.
It would depend on what arena you are playing. Steel peel, I think having 2 supports, a sniper or 2, then assaults and assassins is good. Also it depends on who is strong doing what. I rather have someone as a gunner if they are better at being gunner than sniper. Playing to the strengths is preferable to idea class distribution.
Assault Assassin Tank Support Gunner Sniper Good assassins and tanks make their classes more than viable.
1. Assassin (keep pros at bay, get rid of snipers, wreck enemie's turrets) 2. Support (Defensive, keep turrets up and running, give pros that extra bit o health) 3. Support (Offensive, set up a mini bas near opponent's, go into juice and swipe a big turret) 4. Assault (ring out pros, stick near assassin, since people tend to target assassins the assault can set a trap) 5. Gunner (always need one, very good offensive class) 6. Sniper or second assassin (i'd rather 2 assassins on steel peel, but on every other map definately sniper)
Support Support Other than that it doesn't matter as long as its not 3+ of any one class. Ideally you'd have a Sniper Assault Gunner Tank/Assassin The supports tag-team with their firebases, leap-frogging them forward when hacks recharge, to have firebases pounding on the enemy pros in their base. The Tank/Assassin clears bot lanes and destroys any pros foolish enough to approach. The Gunner gets as high up as he can with a good fall back point, and suppresses enemy pros into keeping their head down in their base. Few people will keep their head out for long (except a sniper, be careful of those) with a gunner raining lead. The Assault uses his high maneuverability to assist anyone that needs it. Once the shields are down the Assault uses FLY to get to the part nobody can get to but assaults, and bombs the moneyball while firing the AR. If confronted, Charge out (or eliminate threat) and link up with allies.
I'd probably go for: 2 supports 1 sniper 2 gunners (or 1 gunner and 1 tank) 1 assault (who, depending on the end game, saves cash to switch to assassin for a money ball rush)
2 Support 1 Gunner 1 Tank This is the core of my team and I think it's a good base. The other two team members depend on the map, the enemy's team and who is playing. The two alternate positions are reserved for some combination of an assault, assassin, or a sniper. Another option is to have an additional gunners instead of the tank (but I prefer having a tank). My favorite combination: 2 Support 1 Gunner 1 Tank 1 Sniper 1 Assassin
