Does the patch address the horrible lag this game has?

    When you say lag, do you mean bad connnection to a host or low framerate due to performance issues? It's hard to tell sometimes but the patch addresses performance issues. We'd like to put in some tools in the future for better feedback on hosts.

    Lag is usualy a bad connection to host, low framerate doesn't stay for long (At least not for me). The problem is that you get connected to people from all over the world instead of just your area or continent.

    What I mean is 8 out of 10 games are unplayable due to lag.
    Not my connection cuz other games are fine.
    Teleporting around the map.
    Shooting the gunner mortar only to have it shoot .5 seconds later from where I was standing not where I am standing.
    Jet pack constantly on without engaging it.
    Switching weapons only to have it switch right back to the weapon I was just using.
    Shooting an enemy player and seeing damage then no damage, then damage then no damage like its only recognizing half of the bullets that are hitting him.
    Etc.
    Does that help and how about answering the initial question.
    Is it that this being a smaller game doesnt have good servers?
    Im grabbing at straws cuz I love the game but cant play it due to frustration.

    MNC is peer-to-peer, P2P, so technically there are no servers. The problem is that the game's netcode does not select the 'best' host but gives it to the first person to form the room in most cases. This issue should be addressed in the upcoming patch although we will have to wait and see how things turn out. As there is no penalty for leaving just find another game with a better connection to the host.

    8 out of 10 is a little extreme. i'd say 3 out of 10 but maybe you're just unlucky.

    Awesome thanks for the answer.
    I know there is no penalty for leaving but when you have to leave 8 out of 10 games it gets a little tiring.
    More time resquadding and looking for a game as opposed to playing = lost interest and bad word of mouth.

    Depends on the night.
    Sometimes its 6 out of 10 but sometimes its 8.
    Anyways its lame and I want to play this game but end up rage quitting after the same old night after night.

    its 8 out of 10 games for me also.
    I see no point in playing this online anymore.
    its too horrible. the lag is epic.
    over healed jackpots
    hit detection is horrble
    i just hate shooting someone 600000 times before there health even depletes.
    I keep tellin myself hey $15 game what do u expect.
    but to be honest
    I think this game could easily be a $60 title if there was better online support.
    LIKE MAYBE A HOST OPTION
    or a no host option.
    dont get me wrong i love the game but it's broken.... and its broken bad.

    Remember its much worse for anyone outside of the US. It seems to connect me to a Us host 90+% of the time which currently is making the game unplayable. Not much fun when an assasain can take more 'damage' than your tank can purely because nothing registers on her

    He probably means bad hosts. Framerate issues happen, but they usually aren't that bad. There are massive issues with bad hosts. Getting a good host is downright rare, mediocre hosts are pretty common and can really be felt when using things like the assassin's charge.
