A reset? No thanks as I've worked my *** off to get to #166 (was higher) and I am in the top 150 for kills too. Now resets for the obvious hacks like the people in the top 50 all having over 100 BILLION yes, same goes for the kills (100+ Billion kills)
Your rank doesn't mean **** seeing as how the game just got out and not everybody has it. It just means you were one of the first 1000 to get it like me.
I've never understood why leader boards don't just get manually scanned for obvious hackers to have those accounts banned and removed from the leaderboards. On top of that, I think that whatever XBox said account was used on should get at least a temporary ban, and a permanent ban if the account was only used on a single XBox. XBoxes permanently banned from XBox live should have a pop-up message stating so as soon as they are booted so it would be easy to check if buying an XBox second hand.
The hackers are obvious.... but the boosters are there too. Spence boosted his way up to about 15,000 kills (and might be playing legitimately now). Either way he didn't get get there through normal play. Dbow or whatever his name is decided to dethrone him and boosted all the way to 20,000. How do I know? I get a lot of kills in a short amount of time. I've looked at my best sections of an 8 or 12 hour block (when I have that much time to play) and compared that to these guys. I've compared how many kills I get from an all evening session to how many they get in a few hours. Their numbers become impossible to be legitimate. I think it would be nice if you just removed the cheaters/boosters. And gave them all permanent MNC tags reading: Cheater.
Would love the "Cheater Tag" idea however they could just simply hack their Tag to remove it. Only way to do it was if Uber programmed gamertags into the game to apply the Cheater Tag but that would result in constant updates and passing authorization from Microsoft - in otherwords impossible to keep up,.
without a reset there is no point in trying to excell in this game< because there will always be some scrub that can never be unseated. it kind of makes the leaderboards useless
Not quite the reasoning for it. I am for it though. Not that I really care about my rank, it just isn't fair for the people who couldn't get it when others did.
This game has leaderboards? I kid of course, i know it does, but that is just how little they mean to me. I can see however, how people would get mad at the guys just sitting there. Im all for the Cheater Tag on them. It wouldn't be too hard i dont think, just assign it to their Gamertag, so every time they sign in to live on MNC, it'll auto-change their tag to it, and run checks at the start/end of every game if they try to change it. Though i know nothing about coding, so it may not be possible
That is possibly the best idea I've ever seen. They cheat to the top of the leaderboards to be 'better' than everyone, so put a giant 'cheat' tag above their head the entire game. Its awesome :3 It'd be better if you coulb combine them both, a cheater tag and removal from leaderboards. They'd outright stop playing!
Severed made another "cheating" thread. Even though the title suggests a leaderboard reset. You ever hear the saying "Patience is a virtue" ? Yes you should look into it and what is means. btw, was this so important that you had to make this thread on your iPhone? I mean come on already. [Edit] People seem to forget that most cheating is done on a modded console no matter what you do to get rid of one tag they will just make a new one and do it all over again.
