The Mascot's colors change depending on the occasion. In the game he's gold and green and on the dashboard he's representing with MNC colors orange and blue. In the future he might be different colors...
Please never stop being so ber. Extras like this don't even occur to most console devs, and Microsoft ends up crushing the spirits of the minority who care.
On a related note, it took me a while to realize that in Blitz mode, the bot's colors change to reflect the round's current sponsor. I think that's an awesome detail. The only thing that would make it better would be if they could somehow fit the sponsor's logo on them.
Seeing Bullseye as Santa Claus on Christmas, Cupid on Valentines day (with wings!), or a leprechaun on St. Patty's day would be just amazing.
