I tend to lock some threads that look like spam or stuff that belongs in PMs or on Twitter. It might seem random to you, but it's directly related to how much coffee I had. Threads tend to look more like spam if I didn't have enough coffee...
Oh, I guess you are referring to the alphabet thread? I didn't lock that. PS: Just finished reading it. Deserved a lock since it was 100% spam after my combo breaker. =P
But it's Off Topic, dawg. It's not like Eka would lose a year of his life if someone posts a thread about having fun. (not about porn, of course) I haven't read the rules that much so if I'm mistaken then please educate me.
Off topic doesn't equal spam. There has to be some form of discussion or links to something interesting. But a collection of random posts with no meaningful content gets locked.
Some people come up with creative disguises for their post count buffing. Some people actually care about post count. That being said, imo maybe someone should buy Jessep an automatic coffee machine, with the larger coffee pot upgrade. Was nice that he would be honest about it. Maybe I don't recognize well disguised post-count-buffing, but a lot of locked threads are pretty fun ideas.
