I dunno, I don't even know if i should be making a thread about this because it's not even a fully fledged out idea yet, but reading some of the things on the boards, especially the strategy section, gets me so aggrivated because people act so elitist. How they get super awesome KPDS and they get pissed when anyone has any legitimate complaints about a class.

I haven't bene on a forum in years, and i'm starting to remember why. I'd really love to be a part of this community, but i'm on the fence here.

Yea, I hear ya. There is soo much BS to sift through. I can say personally there are some really great members although I think they are starting to be driven away. Hopefully with the patch we can all just get along, sadly I doubt that will happen anytime soon.

It doesn't help that my favorite class to play constantly gets mocked, treated like ****, legitimate complaints get turned into a "Your doing it wrong." argument, and overall just plain douchery. =/
Don't get me wrong, I can play every class(except assault, i just don't do well on assault.) and get good kpd, good leaderboards, and feel like a kredit to team. It just irritates me. >.<

I hear ya, but it's best to just disagree and leave it at that or even better just don't feed trolls. Not that you are, but that's how I learn to deal with them. If you ever fancy a game send me a message.

Some people come to the forums to chat about their favourite game, other just come to ventilate their frustration and personal failures. That's just the internet :(

Just ignore it and carry on, if you are going to take offense by what completely random 14 year olds post on a anonymous forum then you might aswell never read another game forum again ;)

Yeah, such is the way of the internet. Gotta learn to ignore the DBs. There are always quality people to be found on forums.

    Also. HI DROKZ.

But should they not speak up if they feel those complains are not legitimate?
What if they did not, nobody would contradict other complains. Uber would fix them (since it seems there are just complains), and after that other people will start to complain about the fix (since they weren't allowed to complain about complains).

That does not seem the right way to me, it is your opinion that the complain is legitimate. It is for others to decide if they agree or not.

If you feel i am currently performing Board Elitism i would like to apologise for my behaviour and did not mean to offend you. We just seem to disagree.

Yeah, i always wondered if a subforum in a class section specifically for complaints (QQ) would be a good idea. I mean it would be a pretty nasty place but at least that crap is not clogging up the rest of the forums.

Would probebly create a pretty hostile atmosphere though.

Ow hey man, good seeing you here!

Speaking up if you disagree if fine, and to be expected. This is a forum after all.

Its how you conduct yourself that matters.

No i meant that they bash anyone who has a legitimate complain and say "youre doing it wrong."
I believe that there are thins that could be fine tuned about each class, and criticisms are vital, but it annoys me when the only thing a person says is "your doing it wrong." And doesnt give constructive criticism to that criticism.

    HERP DERP ***-ASSIN DOO

It's easy to rag on the Assassin, since so many people play her so badly. Anonymity doesn't help either.

I hate hearing the "ur doin it wrong" arguments here. The reason we're hearing it is because the people repeating it likely brought that behavior over into our very flexible class-based shooter from another certain class-based shooter, one where class pigeonholing means that unless you are specifically doing 'X,' you are, in fact, doing it wrong.

Unfortunately, one game is not the other, and if people think that "you're doing it wrong" really applies to this game, then I guess they're doing it wrong.

It's true that many people play the assassin very poorly. That said, there are some legitimate complaints about the assassin!

Played Friday night and had the worst night K/D wise, but the best night for what really matters, wins and $$$$$. Good K/D does not, and never will = being good at this game.

honestly.. i dont think there is such a thing as a "legitimate complaint" when it comes to Class power-related complaints (except with bugs and glitches), there are only observations and opinions and afterwards it should come to a common concensus by everyone holding the diverging opinions... and its the developers that weigh that concensus with testing.

part of the reason i see many people respond in short "you're doing it wrong" or "learn the class" is because the said complaint has already been beaten to death by users of that favorite character. many times good answers were already given in the past or other concerns with the opposite argument were raised and then the OP chooses to ignore or even consider the problem or other solutions, or that the issue isnt really a problem at all. overtime, that just turns many regulars into grumpy people with short responses... pretty typical on an internet forum. it gets even worse when both sides have the personality type that their comment or concern is correct no matter what and the person responding is the same way.. which is pretty rampant around here.

the nerfing of the cloak on the upcoming update is a good example. it's a valid update, it makes users of the assassin nervous and they are more than likely over-reacting (it isnt even out yet to judge), but many of the responses to those complaints just say "yah well.. learn to play". there is a bit of truth with both sides, it is a nerf, some people welcome it, most don't care, some people hate it.. which generally represents that the change is "in the middle", which is ideally where the developers want everything to be.

To quote Scathis "if everyone one agreed, we'd be in trouble" in terms of Class balance.
