http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/turrent It's TURRET, you "turrent" droolers. There's no N in the word.
That is not being a grammar nazi, it's called being semi-intelligent. The word is not even pronounced phonetically with an "n" sound, why would you put one in? Maybe I am the only one who checks to see if a word I am using is typed correctly. It goes beyond a spelling error, which is excusable, as is questionable sentence structure, etc. It would be like seeing the word "rifle" typed with...I can't even think of a way to screw it up. You are using the written word as a medium for communication, at least take the time the learn how to use it correctly because, like it or not, how you represent yourself when you speak and write directly speaks to your perceived intelligence (and often your ACTUAL intelligence).
While I agree to a certain extent, if anyone is using an iPhone with auto-correct on, sometimes the phone will wrongly change a word because it has similar letters to another one. It's also not very easy to spot sometimes as you type looking at the letters and not the text unlike someone who touch-types on a computer keyboard. How am I doing so far? This was [painfully] typed on an iPhone.
lol im on here alot and have never seen anyone spell it that way but ima look harder now...lol turrent.
The other thread that someone bumped is titled "Turret has no N in it." which doesn't have the non-word "turrent" in it, so search wouldn't have found it. You lose; good day, sir!
