ATTN: Top Teams (zYn, Lotion Trigger, Recoil, etc)

Combat gaming is shooting for running their kickoff 5v5 tournament on the weekend of Sept 10th to try to get the best turn out before Reach drops.

The prize is $50 to first place, among other prizes, and it's FREE ENTRY.

All it takes is getting your 5 members of your team to register for the site and having your leader post in the sign up section to potentially win $10 per player. Remember, this is tax free and you won't have to wait months like other websites.

Please, help spread the word so we can hit a minimum of 8 teams for this tournament!

Curious: Any particulary reason why it's 5v5 instead of 6v6?

We decided to do 5v5 for two main reasons. First, we wanted more teams to participate, and 30 people could make 5 teams of 6 or 6 teams of 5. Second, we feel it's the most competitive number. 4v4 feels almost too small, and 6v6 feels too big. With smaller teams, the better team will win more often, as there is less room for error, but this game is meant for bigger teams. However, 6v6 just feels too slow. In the end, it comes down to a quick judgment call.

This is a good idea to try to maintain interest in the game during the mass exodus that will be halo reach. How halo's release impacts the game is going to be a big factor in the game's continued support and player base.

Bump. Haters gonna hate. I don't see why people would care that we've used 4 different topics to spread the word about a FREE MNC tourney with CASH prizes. I was under the assumption that most people on the MNC board liked and supported the game, and cash tournaments on other websites are a great way to give the game legs. I guess not, people are more interested in cutting down the 4 topics on a tournament, so that there are more rooms for "OMG ASSASSIN ISNT POWERFUL ENOUGH" topics...

For the amount of alike threads you posted it's clear that not many people are signing up. Please like the rest are saying keep it to one thread.

I could care less about it or the amount of threads you are making, honestly. I just found it amusing that someone pointed out you are spamming advertisements for your website, and all you can say is haters gonna hate. The contests and all are nice, but you don't really need to make so many threads. There really isn't much to view on these forums as it is, let alone constant repeats so you can get more hits and popularity.

But to each his own, not like people can't skip over the topic.
