If you're trying to decide whether or not to get the game, you can check out this review: http://www.setwaypoint.com/games/shank/.

My girl and I made it this past weekend after playing through the game. She's an animator and did some custom animation for the review also. We're trying to start posting some video reviews and gameplay videos from the SetWaypoint.com site.

Please let me know what you think, feedback is always welcomed and appreciated.

Did you guys just start doing review videos? The pace is kind of slow, and there seem to be a lot of pauses. It's a decent video, maybe a little too long. Don't want to sound like a negative nancy...just trying to help out.

As for Shank, I liked it. I've only played the single-player and can't say I noticed a lot of glitches. The only portions where I felt like they were being bastards were the scene in the alley with like 4 waves of guys and the final boss fight, which was just a lack of patience on my part.

The leader board has to be based on time. The number of villains is likely the same on each play through, so the time aspect is how you have to sort people. Crappier players dying more often and taking a longer amount of time. I definitely don't see playing the game beyond getting the achievements though.

Yes, that was our first one (and hopefully not last, stay tuned). We're always open to and looking for feedback, so thanks. We probably should've outlined better what we were going to say or rehearse it. We were just going for a conversational style that I think you're right about being too long with too many pauses.

And yeah, I know the exact scene you're talking about. I think I used a clip from that in the review where you briefly get to pick up and use a flamethrower from one of the big guys. And the final boss does take a lot of patience, even moreso in coop. The boss fights take even longer.

I agree time is about all you can do with what it has, but I think some sort of point system would've been nice too. Accrue points for combos and special moves and stuff. It already keeps track of combos and some stats. Could use that for a point system and make another leaderboard from that. I know most 2d side scrollers use time as a measuring stick, just always seemed weird to me. Like the developers want people to just blaze through their game and not pay much attention to the details.

Anyways, thanks for the input, much appreciated.
