    I read most of it. PRO TIP If you want the devs to pay attention to your posts, stop getting in pointless arguments and stay on topic. We do read the forums but my eyes just glaze over when we see bickering. We're glad you guys are passionate about MNC, but try to keep it civil so we don't have to. Thanks.

    In the spirit of reconciliation, I'll say that I I'm sorry I began calling you stupid kamakun. However, it was mainly due to me not reacting well to you saying you could not tell if I was being serious or stupid. Additionall,y I was not saying you don't need to cite, I was saying you don't need to cite yourself. Sorry if that caused confusion.

    This game is a 10/10 game, i had no doubt buying this game, it has superb graphics, excellent and fun gameplay and just fun to play with 2 or more people as well. Great job UBER, maybe making updates here and there to make the game 11/10 wouldnt be bad like maybe more arenas or unlock choosable armor for your custom classes, like we should be able to have a choice of armor, not armor color, but just like shoulder pads and the chest plate etc... THAT would be really cool, but then again GREAT job UBER :D

    I will apologize for that statement as well as any other statement that may have been passed as a personal attack. I will also admit that there were misunderstandings on both sides. Hopefully there will be no hard feelings.

    It was probably for the better that an Admin stepped in. I was starting to notice that the arguments turned into arguments that involved nothing to do with the actual discussion (How the Assassin is affected by this change.) Unless anyone has anything to say about my last reply, I will refrain from replying unless it is about the aforementioned discussion topic, and hopefully the pointless arguments will cease.

    I am also very glad to see that someone has been reading these replies.

    I'm excited not because I'm going (can't make it ;_;) but because I predict that soon after PAX the Title Update will rain down upon out eagerly awaiting Xboxes like a shower of bacon bits dipped in chocolate.

    A orange shirt with a blue silhouette of the gunner taunting and the words "Let's do this Tiki style"

    Wait maybe I missed it, but are they taking out the ability to switch weapons during a grapple? That is a true annoyance to all the assassins out there and maybe that will lighten the mood due to taking out a few things against her

    well with all the crying about assassin crying about not being able to grapple while cloaked. why dont u just press the Y button to uncloak then quickly grapple. if u cant press those two buttons quick enough especially since one of those buttons is the left trigger then u have three fingers and a thumb on 1 hand.

    I see you misinterpreted the arguments. Previously the assassin would be able to start a grapple then re-cloak during the animation, therefore protecting them self from turrets/bots/firebases. By the way an assassin is able to grapple while cloaked.

    However you all fail to understand it was patched due to it NOT being part of the gameplay Uber wanted. This was patched for balance purposes, why should a class be able to kill multiple players with grapples without having a turret firing? Part of being the assassin is to choose the target and make the kill - not just simply randomly grapple and remain cloaked. It breaks gameplay every action needs to have a effect. A gunner deploys he gains massive damage ability and cannot be headshotted (if lvl3) but the downfall is he cannot move and is a sitting duck and can easily be killed from behind. Tank/Assault miss their charge, they are vulnerable for a second afterwords - I've gotten MANY kills on them by missing and I shotty them point blank. Supports are easily killed at medium-long range (no ranged weapon), airstrikes are avoided by simply either moving or going under a bridge.
    Assassin needs a flaw, being able to pull off a instant kill (back grapple) needs a counter. You can get that instant kill, but upon doing so you need to get outta there quickly as you're open - hence the grenadejump. Get in, make kill, get out. That is her purpose, not to kill from behind, remain unseen, kill from behind, remain unseen, repeat.
    Other games with similar classes have same effect - if you attack your cloak/disguise are removed for that duration. Imagine playing TF2 where a spy remains disguised after attacking - would be insanely overpowered. Part of playing a spy is choosing which targets are easiest to kill and will not result in your death.
    If you see a group, stun them and grab one and run away.

    That's ridiculous. Please don't bring assumptions into discussions, it only leads to biasing you towards certain conclusions.

    If they can do that now, you're not paying attention.

    Actually it's not a balance change, they said it was unintended gameplay. That's a big difference from saying it's actually a problem that was causing imbalance. It boils down to "we fixed it because it wasn't in the original design" rather than "we fixed it because it was detrimental to the player experience"

    Also, I'm getting tired of people saying that you can just grapple randomly with no consequence because of the cloak... really? Have you played assassin to a level of proficiency? If you did you'd know full well that cloaking while grappled doesn't stop other players from turning you into swiss cheese. You can't just grapple anyone if you expect to live long enough to kill your target; you have to pay attention to their teammates.

    The endless mentions of the backstab being one-hit kill and needing a balance is also fairly indicitive of the fact people need to look at the big picture. What's the counter to sniper headshots exactly? You can dodge about to make it nigh on impossible to headshot you, but hey guess what! That works exactly the same on the backgrapple.
    My sniper grapple is a oneshot kill against most classes and yet none of the 'anti-assassin' posts ever seem to complain about that. Hell, most classes can one-shot the assassin or combo the assassin in one throw with their FRONT grapple. Where's the counter for that? :p

    Also, OoPpEe1985, I find it interesting you mention the TF2 spy because it's far, far better equipped for taking out groups than the MNC assassin. In TF2 if I get behind an enemy team I can drop them all unnoticed in seconds, while in this I have to sit about tapping my foot for lengthy periods of time before backstabbing the next guy. The uncloaking doesn't change this much as most people are highly unaware of what's going on behind them (The best example of this being in TF2 when my flatmate backstabbed a group of 5 people who were pushing forward together. The 5th guy was the only one who even started to turn around as the knife went in; the other 4 didn't even register that something might be going on behind their back.)
    The TF2 assassin also isn't completely foiled by their target jumping around like a lunatic, nor do they take a lengthy animation to kill each individual; it's just a quick slash of the knife and aerial or not their target shuffles off this mortal coil.

    Whenever I play a non-assassin class, like support or assassin, the enemy team's assassins are lucky if they're even a nuisance to me, let alone a formidable foe. I'm not even that great at other classes, I just know how hilariously easy it is to spot and foil assassins. That amazing cloak people talk about? You can see it from a surprisingly long distance away if you're lucid enough, heck you can spot it even further away if the assassin is daft enough to dash with it on ("hmm... what does the trail of dust clouds coming towards me mean?").
    God help the assassin if they miss their grapple too. In the unlikely event you weren't aware they were there that might as well be a neon sign saying "I R TRYING TO KILLZ YOU BY THE WAY!"

    You want to know what the 'deploy' downsides of the assassin is?
    1) paper thin armour. You can be killed by stray fire, nevermind stuff actually aimed at you (not to mention stray fire lights you up like a christmas tree so it tends to lead to lots of direct fire immediately afterwards). There's a reason almost all assassins consider gold armour endorsement a requirement rather than an option :p
    2) AoE. You have no idea how many times I've been taken out by an attack that was even meant for me, especially the jackbot freaking groundpound or the ejector being set off to try and kill one of my teammates on the same section.
    3) Magical lag. Going for a grapple? Oh I'm sorry, the dice rolled a 1 on the magical lag dice. Even though your opponent has been static and not even moving for the last half hour your grapple still misses. Try again! If you roll a 4 on the magical lag dice then your back-grapple connects but it turns into a front-grapple instead, which is as good as suicide in most cases :3
    4) HEY GUYZ! I'M GRAPPLING YOUR TEAMMATE HERE. PLEASE DON'T SHOOTZ ME WHILE I'M VULNERABLE DOING THIS INCREDIBLY LENGTHY AND OBVIOUS ANIMATION. KTHXLUVU.

    The assassin is fine. Try playing her for a reasonable length of time if you disagree. Then when you come back in tears, I'll give you cuddle, dry your eyes and tell you everything is going to be alright, sending you back into the fray with some hints and tips to deal with all the horrors you were previously unaware of in the safety of your other classes :3
