Millions of Americans oppose SOPA and PIPA because these bills would censor the Internet and slow economic growth in the U.S.
Two bills before Congress, known as the Protect IP Act (PIPA) in the Senate and the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) in the House, would censor the Web and impose harmful regulations on American business. Millions of Internet users and entrepreneurs already oppose SOPA and PIPA.

The Senate will begin voting on January 24th. Please let them know how you feel. Sign this petition urging Congress to vote NO on PIPA and SOPA before it is too late.

Stop the ESA, Petition and Boycott E3

The ESA's support of the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA), is a direct attack on free speech and innovation in gaming. SOPA would allow corporations and the US government to shut down any site on the internet. The ESA is a direct supporter of this bill, and as a gamer, you can fight back by signing this petition, and asking press to boycott E3, the ESA largest money maker. This petition is sponsored by the League For Gamers, a new gamer and developer advocacy group.

Obama is against them, and there's no way they'll have a large enough majority in congress to overturn a veto.

    I wouldn't worry too much.

Not unless lobbyists throw enough money at them.

Support Lulzsec and Anonymous, they are an ideal not a gruop of people. They warned Congress half a year ago to stop this or they will unleash a cyber attack on the government, so devastating, the likes of which have never been seen. They begged and pleaded for the government to stop this war on it's own people while they were mocked and called kiddie hackers. They took down the Egyptian police force, exposed them, and restored thier internet capabilities, this was a small scale example and a test on what they are capable of if our government decides that we do not deserve a freedom of speech and censors our internet, just as they did for the good people of Egypt. They warned, very few took them serious, get ready, this year will be going down in the history books. "You should not be afraid of your government, your government should be afraid of you." GET BEHIND A PROXY AND FIGHT BACK!!!

do not use a fake one or your signature is worthless, here, use 20500, the zip code for the White House, let them think you are right down the block. Oh yeah, they even lie about their postal code haha, they say it is 20500, but it is actually 20006.

So doomsday happens not because of some major catastrophic event, but because the internet gets censored and the grumbles start.

Then, at some point, someone turns their attention to legislation to stop online porn.

    Eh, eh?

No, joking, I'm a terrible person. Signed, and fully supported.

GAWDDAMMIT, now Wikipedia is blacked out too. While I support rising awareness against SOPA I would really like to look something up. :p
