My rant time. Plenty of people seem to think that their preferred choice us underpowered, or another class is overpowered. Now when I play this and see someone pounding my Gunner into the heavens with an Assassin I do not think that, I simply realise the said player is simply better or moreso tactical. I say for those who think certian units are overpowered you really need to put the kettle on, sit back, relax, and think of a strategy for your build against other units. Seriously every unit has a way to counter other units, its all there you just need to to think a little more. Rant out.
Every Class has a counter strategy or class. Better players will always dominate regardless of class.

I see a theme here. So its people that are overpowered lol. Hmmm maybey we could give rubbish players better controllers ;o)
I look at it this way: just about every pro ticks me off at some point - whether it's an Assault peppering me with crits, or the sword in the back from the Assassin. I figure that's a decent enough sign that the game's pretty well balanced.
then whats the counter of the support because i play as a tank and the heal/hurt gun has a larger range than the jet gun
Well, you do have a railgun. And charge. I don't agree with the notion that counters automatically invalided the notion that some classes are over- or underpowered, but it's not like you only have the jet gun. It's relatively slow, yes, but it can certainly outstrip a support in terms of range and damage.
i can kill every pro with every class its just sometimes i have to navigate a minefield of freeze/auto headshot traps or sit just out of range of a portable turrret just to get a chance. there are definitely classes that are hard to kill with any class even when u suprise them. also i love the shotgun that has the range of my tank's jet gun and can kill me (max defense) in 3 hits so if i dont charge to take half his health i lose
The only class that cannot counter another class is assassin. assassin cannot counter a good sniper who knows how to use his freeze traps and grapple, it is near impossible without outside help. You cannot grapple him, the freezes put it on cooldown along with all your other skills and holds you in place. Also the sniper's frontal grapple is an OHKO even with gold armor endorse, if you happen to be overhealed (or he just didn't level it, silly sniper) you still will most likely fly off the map. Doesn't bother me much since i tend to run into crappy snipers all the time, but the odd time that a really good one appears... it can be quite annoying (especially if your the only guy on the team with a mic). I think a small tweak is needed for freeze traps and assassins that will not effect how they relate to other classes, but at least let the close range class have an actual chance at beating the long range class in a close range fight. Other then that, agree that the game is really balanced.
Can you not simply jump over the ice traps and then grapple just as you hit the ground? I do this all the time with Assassins and it does the trick.
It depends where the ice traps are placed. If it's a good sniper, it'll be pretty hard to get it right. And if he's against a wall with an armor endorsment, you won't be able to kill him.
Level 3 ice traps put your grapple on cooldown and the best snipers I've faced sit directly on their traps so there's no safe place to grapple them from. That said, that's nothing compared to the sniper team that trapped us in our own base; we knew where the traps were but couldn't clear them out so we were pretty much pinned into our base. Any attempt to bypass the traps would put you right in their lone gunner's sights. Very effective and highly irritating
