ITT: Post unexpected facts about yourself

I'm 28, 5'7", 180 pounds or so. Apparently after reading all of these I'm a fatty though I never thought of myself that way. I'm not quite the oldest person here but pretty close, apparently.

I have more (non step)siblings(6) than first cousins(5). My last name is the name of a town in England(Congleton).

I've been to Japan twice, going a third time this summer. Family lives overseas and has for 3 years now.

I can recite from memory the words of almost every Disney movie song from The Jungle Book to Hercules. I can also recite from memory no less than 10-20 80's cartoon themes(Duck Tales, Rescue Rangers, Gummi Bears, Animaniacs, Tale Spin, Muppet Babies, Heathcliff, TMNT,Hey Paisanos! It's the Super Mario Brothers Super Show!) I love 80's cartoons, I feel bad for any other generation not having cool cartoons like I did growing up.

Senior at UK. Majoring in Biochemistry. Failed out of college twice so far(first time from following a crazy girlfriend, second time because of a large bout with depression.) but third time is a charm! Hoping to do pharmaceutical chemistry research and development.

I also almost drowned when I was 5 and can remember it vividly as well. Lost grip on a kickboard while in swimming lessons and the teacher didnt notice for a while, I remember blacking out and waking up on the side of the pool. I still am scared by water that I can't see the bottom in more than anything else.

Work 40 hours a week as a tech in an University Hospital(not too hard to guess which one) making IV drugs. If I got paid more, I'd probably not finish school, I only do about 5 hours of work for every 10 hour shift.

Used to live in State College, PA. I have met Joe Paterno multiple times and went to elementary school with his kid.

I am a huge trivia nerd. I religiously watch Jeopardy(and tape it when I don't get to.) I love game shows, especially older ones.

Played a lot of soccer and basketball and baseball growing up but never followed through to high school on any of it. I should have, apparently I was pretty good at it.

Dating a girl who is almost as obsessed with video games as I am. She(ballisticsjello) got into playing MNC a bit even after watching me play it for almost 500 hours how. Some of you have probably played against her in a pub at some point.

The only bone I've ever broken in my body is the one in the bridge of your nose. I sledded(sp?) headfirst into a tree when I was 7. Split my lip too, got a bunch of stitches, I still have the scar from it visible and can feel where it was fused back together in my lip! I also got whacked in the head with a golf club as a kid and needed stitches there too but the scar isnt visible now since it's in my eyebrow.

Weird enough, I almost drowned when I was 5 as well. I was at a small beach in NC, and they had this long tube thingy that was redistributing the sand...it ran straight down the ocean like a mile down. Like a dumbass, I tried to run down the tube and see how far I could go. I fell off, and immediately the current started pulling me out to sea. Randomly, a wave knocked me over the other side of the pipe/tube, and the current wasn't pulling me on that side.

Wouldn't it be crazy if every MNC veteran almost drowned when they were 4-5? That would be some twilight zone ****.

Since you're all going into detail, here's my story-

I was chilling in the pool in the shallow end. My dad was teaching my brother to swim, and I was for some reason bouncing along the side of the pool looking at the pattern on it. All of a sudden, the floor drops out under me, I'm thrashing and kicking and trying to scream as water fills my lungs. Next thing I know, I wake up on the side of the pool and my Dad is giving me some talk to pay more attention or some ****.

And I just realized the other day that it's never been mentioned in conversation and I don't think my Mom even knows about it. So maybe there was a cover-up to keep my Mom from freaking out.

I like football the most, but I would say Im the best at swimming.
My sleep schedule is aweful!
I almost got carried away by the sea once (understood the importance of being a good swimmer there).

Landed on my feet, no injuries other than sore legs.
