As of last week I've found myself having an odd recurring bug that makes MNC near-impossible for me to play; I can't upgrade my skills. Whenever I open the skill screen and click on one of the skills or press the associated hotkey, the game makes the noise as if I've purchased the skill, but it doesn't actually upgrade. I keep my money, but the skill stays at level 1, which means I get outpaced very quickly. Oddly, this only started happening after I won the second single player Blitz game. Since then I have tried defragging, checking for ile corruption and even reinstalling the game, but the problem persists. Anyone know why this might be happening?
The only thing I could possibly guess is check if you have voice chat switched on. I remember not being able to upgrade skills if it is. That's really unlikely though. Otherwise, go to: Code: C:\Users\your name\Documents\My Games\UnrealEngine3 and rename the HostileGame folder to HostileGame2, restart the game and see if that fixes it. If not just rename it back.
So... umm... that worked. And then I changed my keybinds, and it stopped working again. So I went back in and renamed the HostileGame folder again, but now it's still not working, and I'm more confused than I was before.
