I just thought I'd share an really great game of MNC with everyone...

I have the afternoon off today, so I grabbed a nice Rogue Brewing Brutal IPA and sat down for a quick game of MNC before my buddies get off work and we head out to the beach.

The teams were pretty well matched in the lobby, and my team spawned a Support, two Assaults (one me), a Gunner, and a Sniper. The other team seemed to do similar, with a couple Assassins, a couple of Gunners, and a couple of Assaults.

Most of my team stacked the left side of the arena, so I went right, set up a Long Shot and a Laser Blazer, and started clearing the lanes with my grenade launcher to keep my bots flowing and to hold the side. By about one third through the game I was in a duel with another Assault who was also trying to clear the lane, with occasional help from an Assassin or Gunner on his side (sad to say the Assassin got me a couple of times), and our Gunner and Sniper both backing me up whenever I got pushed back.

About halfway through the match the other Assault on my team came over to help, and we double teamed the other team's Assault, killed the Assassins, and managed to both push our bots all the way to their base and take out their turrets.

They rallied back however, and cleared us off their money ball just as their Jackbot spawned. There was some confusion on our side, and a really good push by their side, and the end result was that they killed all the turrets on my side and pushed the Jackbot all the way to our money ball. We had to really shape up in order to take out the Jackbot and eliminate the Pros that had invaded our base.

This time we pushed the lanes on both sides of the level simultaneously, and managed to deadlock the left side of the field, while myself and the other Assault once again pushed the right side all the way to their base and eliminated their turrets.

This time we were able to hold out, and we won the game with 90 seconds to spare!

This was a great game, and back in the lobby both sides were talking about how much fun it had been. Heck, I was congratulating one of the other team's Assassins who had basically wrecked my K/D ratio, and a lot more compliments were being thrown back and forth between the teams. Win or lose, both teams had a ton of fun!

I'm looking forwards to more of this kind of game once the patch hit, and I just thought I'd post this to let everyone have a little taste of what the game can be like at it's best. :)

Yea, I really enjoy when a match goes like that. I had a similar experience in a game, but on a smaller scale. My buddy came out as a gunner, and I was a sniper. We were pushing down the lane, and we run into another group of a gunner and a sniper pushing down the same lane as we were. It was fun going back and forth trying to control that lane. While they eventually took it over in the end, the game was a lot of fun because it went back and forth, and everyone had a good time.

Glad to hear someone's having good matches. I played a few tonight and every single one of them was either full of incompetent idiots or plagued by unplayable lag.

That happens man, I've had a few of those myself.

I'm hoping, once Uber optimizes their code to reduce the lag and fixed the bugs and glitches, that more games will go like this though. It was way more fun than the usual OT rush...
